Nebraska likely will have a 2022 added soon here. Who is likely to commit?

Shayla and Kalyn this season ( not sure about those spellings) Kalyn looks better suited for one of the pin positions IMO.

Nebraska has some loaded teams coming in the next few years. Should be fun. I am hoping Sam Francis is all N. Nebraska likely will have a 2022 added soon here. I hope it’s the freshman phenom from Northern California. Hmmm I know of a couple 2023 southern cal kids that are getting heavy looks right now, not sure of this north cal kid.

Anyone seen Shay Myers play? She's a 2022 in Nebraska. Two friends have mentioned she's the next kid that will have everyone after her. I'm sure I'll see her this fall. I was talking with Dash22 and he told me he thinks you’re talking here about Kalynn Meyer’s younger sister Shayla. Is that the case or is this another player altogether? He said she’s a 2022 and going to be a “whopper” of a player lol. He also said there’s 1 last Meyer sister that’s younger than Shayla that will bear watching. They have a 5yo brother too. Can’t start young enough for Husker football lol We discussed Shayla Meyer 7 months ago. I guess she is doing well

It is pretty confusing because they're both 2022 players but I think the one catching Nebraska's eye is Shayla who is sister of Kalynn.

I’m gonna have to put the Northern California freshman (2022) on a back burner for now. I’ll toss out a Southern California freshman that I like VERY much but more importantly our staff is looking at closely. Elia Rubin - 6’1”- OH - Marymount HS (Los Angeles). She’s a good all around player already, will be a 6-rotation player in college. I wish she was taller but she’s tall enough. Not the true RS player that we need for this 2022 class, but she can play over there and Zuhn and/or Batenhorst could move to the right side too. Who are the 2023 players you speak of? I’ll give you some names I know of: Mele Faiva, Angelina Sayles, Ashley Artura, Bella Rittenberg, Maia Niemen, Jaylen Clark, Iris Canko, Annelise Rising, Bianca Merloti, Grace Thrower, Carly Greskovics, and Danit Cohen. Those are Southern California 2023’s.

Nebraska's 2020 Meyer.... I saw her this weekend. Girl needs some work. I see her potential, but girl needs some work. Couldn't the track and field put her on 4 in discus to open a schollie? I bet she gets pretty good though over time.

I would love to keep track of some of these youngsters to see how they develop. That’s an interesting angle about the track scholarship. I don’t think the sport is allowed to offer very many 4 year rides though. It would certainly be a great way to save Cook a scholarship we could give to another player. It would give us an extra one. Too bad we don’t have the county scholarships like the football team has! 😛 I think Kalynn Meyer will be very good in due time.

The only sport where a scholarship player wouldn't be a 'volleyball counter' would be if they were also playing women's basketball - the 'only' higher tier sport.

Track and Field only has something like 11 or 13 scholarships to split over their entire roster. I'd be stunned if anyone on Pepin's team was on more than 0.5 scholarship. Anything more than that, you'd better be an NCAA-title winning athlete.
EDIT: So to offer Meyer a volleyball scholarship, you'd better be darn sure she's going to be a stud.
