We are not actively recruiting this 7th grader. Gathering info and viewing tapes to see if we are interested enough to follow these 2024’s just like all the top college teams do That’s not what “zeroing in” sounds like. Perhaps it was just an oversight by bball Dont zero in on me Disco.

Not for Cook -- he recruits young and it has worked in the past. It is hard to argue with success. Not arguing with success. And I know many coaches recruit young, the rolfzens were in like 8th grade right? Very few girls committ when they are 12 which is what 2024 is. If they offer Asher and she commits than good for her, I just hope her 12 year old self knows what she will want in 6 years. Most girls committ around sophomore year , even Nebraska commits. Except the 2021 class, I think all except Batenhorst committed as freshman, still, 7th is very young to commit and could be risky cause you don’t see how they’ll develop through puberty. But I know that’s cooks game so whatever, I would still wait another year until they are 13 almost 14. That’s still kinda early, but it’s not my team or my choice so whatever cook wants . Please don’t try and turn this into an argument I’m so not down for that for the billionth time this week What is Asher’s first name?

If a record label signs a young talent are you all up in arms? If I super basketball talent gets interest from Duke is that wrong? Those double standards. A record label and where you decide to play for college are TWO extremely different things and the fact that you even remotely compare them is insane. You don't pass on a record label deal, and its immediate for them. They aren't signing to sing 10 years later. This girl wont be entering college for 6 years. She has ALOT of time to decide what she wants, and think about things.
For the record i feel the same about basketball too.
Why do Husker fans get into a tizzy about what Hawaii fans think. When is the last time they were remotely relevant nationally?

Or 2016 when they were a ranked team, who could have beaten minnesota had nikki taylor not gotten injured. But nice try troll.

No one admits to recruiting 7 th graders but they do. They invite them to their “ elite camp” put them on the “ elite court” and tell them afterward to keep Nebraska/random school on their list when they’re ready to make a decision. It looks subtle but believe me it’s not, it’s well thought out. Coaches don’t want verbals from 7 th graders though, they would prefer to wait a couple of years and see how they develop. But they have but the bug in the ear of that 7 th grader, that “ we are interested in you”

I don’t see anyone saying about Sheffield all the crap they say about John Cook for recruiting young players. They treat Cook as if he committed a crime. For those that don’t know, Sheffield took a commitment from an 8th grader.
