Nice. I didn't see much of the 17 Elite squad this spring, more focused on 16 and 18 Elite for obvious reasons, but Annika comes from good bloodlines. Tyler was an excellent athlete.

It's always great when you can diversify and get a recruit from New England.

Was this the NE player that others previously referenced as Cook trying to sell as a walk-on with offers elsewhere?

Glad the 2020 class has another local player, welcome Annika! Thanks as well for the confirmation huskerjen

What do you all know about the 2022 middle named Becca I think ? Rebekah Allick? What do you want to know? Plays for VC Nebraska 16 Elite. Great measurables: 15 years old, 6'3", 6'7" wingspan, during January testing at VCN approach touched 10'2.5", then a few weeks ago at Abbott approach touched 10'4". Just a long athletic kid, but like every player in her age group, she's still refining technique.

Coach Cook has been very positive on Huskers this year, a very young team. Suspect this is at least in part to encourage confidence in a young team. I agree this team has great potential, but will probably have some growing pains. Freshman will need to play key roles and team chemistry is untested. Talking about multiple future national championships and the dominance that implies is a little premature in my humble opinion. it’s exciting to know that Nebraska will have the same starting lineup for two years in a row and then 2021. I can’t wait to see how Kennedi Orr grows! She seems like the next Carlini. I honestly can see her setting in the 2024 olympics. No joke! Pump those brakes. And pump them haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaard. Overstate things much? She'd not only have to be the "next Carlini" as you state. But, she'd have to be significantly better than what Carlini was as a collegian. On top of that, she'll have to be better than Carlini will be as a well seasoned 29 year old with likely one Olympics under her belt. On top of having to be better than Poulter. And, based on who is training this summer, Lilley, Hancock and SSS. Those are 5 women who could theoretically still be in play for 2024 who have already proven themselves collegiately and, in most cases, professionally. And I haven't even given any consideration yet to current collegians like Jenna Gray, Sydney Hilley, Nicklin Hames or anyone else who may pursue something post- college or mix in with the national team at some point. I put the chances of Orr being on the 2024 Olympics at less than 1/10th of a percent (<0.1%). And even that is way too generous, no matter how good she is as a junior. I don't put them at 0% because almost nothing is, technically speaking, 0% likely. But, we're not far off from that. I am guessing she'll have stiff competition still for 2028. But, I am getting way ahead of myself.
