As they have for many years, the volleyball team was in the stands tonite cheering on the PSU WSOC team as it kicked off the season by beating WVU 3-1. The "One Team" slogan is encouragingly more than just PR. I frequently see teams supporting each other at games like tonite.

My only problem living here is there aren't enough hours in the day. But one can always find something if you want to put a negative spin on a positive comment.

Takeaways: The upperclassmen are projected starters ("clearly kept their spots") and are performing well (Micha, Megan, Dominique, Lacey, Nia); the two names that came out of Rose's mouth when asked about freshmen that are standing out were Ali and Simone; could start 3 freshmen; a few references to "playing the healthy/eligible players cleared for practice" seem to indicate a few people might not be physically cleared for whatever reason. No mention of Haleigh or Aiyana.

I would hope that the staff and Aiyana herself would prevent another ineligible season for her.

It probably more to what most teams are facing right now after a brutal preseason , that being being a beat up. In 3 days we will get a better feel where all the teams are starting from. 17 weekends is killer.

Not surprising, not a whole lot to do in State College Says someone who has never been to state college. It's a great town. What a ridiculous thing to say;; been there MANY times. Nice campus, but not a lot to do

What a ridiculous thing to say;; been there MANY times. Nice campus, but not a lot to do Well, what type of things are you looking for? PSU people are so defensive; my point was, it's not surprising that PSU athletes would attend other athletic events ( as was suggested by the OP). It's either that or go to another house party. It's especially rough in the winter. Great campus town, but not many PSU grads settle in State College

Well, what type of things are you looking for? Great campus town, but not many PSU grads settle in State College That statement is utterly false. Any large college campus has a ton of things to do. Concerts, art festivals, good music, plays, sporting events, lectures, and decent restaurants....etc. State College has all of this and more. Athletes generally do run together and college programs have done a terrific job at making their matches an "event", so yes it is not a surprise that other student-athletes would want to go support each other and mingle together at an event.
