Thanks for all the links. Made schedules easy to navigate and compare. Really impressed with schedules from the two Midwest schools. Carthage and Dominican have uphill battles to qualify this year against the rest of Pool B. But both have scheduled a high volume of talented teams. Really shocked with the amount of teams traveling to WI/IL area to play them, such as Juniata, Kean, UCSC, etc.

Any word on the impact of the new conference in the Midwest to the at large bids. Can not see Carthage or Lakeland being left out if they win the league. League gets a bid in 2017. Will tournament expand to 16 teams.

Will tournament expand to 16 teams. Whoever wins that conference in the next 2 years need to do more than win that conference. Even though Dominican and Lakeland show potential or promise that conference really only has Carthage and they will need to schedule accordingly. I think Springfield, UCSC, Carthage are the front runners.

Heard MSOE brought in a class of 13 Players from Virginia Beach, St Louis, Nevada, California, Chicago and Wisconsin area's. Have added size and skill with at least two players at each position. Four of the players where players on Open national teams. Will be interesting to see what happens with that class in the new conference.

It's amazing what can be accomplished when you have a coach who's willing to go out there and grind. Engineering is a very popular major right now and Milwaukee is centrally located around the hotbed of volleyball.

Official rulings on conferences/AQ's and some re-allignment:
Midwest Volleyball Conference ("CVC-West teams") will be considered for an AQ to the Division III men’s volleyball national championship for the spring of 2017. (Have to submit a waiver, all signs point to them getting one).
The eastern portion will stay as the CVC and will be comprised of the following current CVC east members: Eastern Mennonite University, Cairn University, Juniata College, Thiel College, Stevenson University and Marymount University. These schools voted unanimously to add Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Newark, as the league’s seventh member, effective for the 2014-15 season. (Retain their AQ)
St. Joseph’s College (Brooklyn) is expected to join the Skyline Conference beginning 2014-15 / Polytechnic Institute of New York University has merged with New York University, no longer in Skyline.
The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) will have an AQ for the 2016 championship.
So that will be 8 (CUNY, CVC, GNAC, MWVC, NEAC, NECC, SKYLINE, UVC) in 2017 if all goes according to plan. Regardless, still 7 in 2016.

Why is it taking the Midwest conference so long to get a AQ. Is it because they have 4 programs that are all relatively new and 1 that shut down for a year?

It takes 2 years to get the AQ. The other conferences received a waiver at the creation of the D3 tourney. Will be 2 years starting this fall (the first in existence for the conf.)

Regardless, still 7 in 2016. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe St. Joseph's is NOT on the skyline schedule for this year, which means they join in 2015-16. Sarah Lawrence is the replacement for NYU-Poly in 2014-15.

Isn't this the first year that conference has enough teams to be consider a conference and their 2 year wait start this year? Also, why or how would the MWVC get a waiver? What makes them so special that they won't have to wait?

Could very well be wrong- just was quoting the source. www.ncaa.org/championships/division-iii-mens-volleyball
