Yes, BYU is looking good ... We would have been kicked off campus back in my day for dressing like that. I'm not kidding. My Freshman year women could wear pants, but had to be pantsuits (think Hillary Clinton). We were thrilled, because the previous dress code had been dresses/skirts. By my senior year, DARK jeans were allowed. I'm old, 'tis true.

Hesitated going to the BYU/UW game because I thought it was Labor Day weekend (I fly standby-impossible on holidays). But now I see Labor Day is the previous weekend, so I am going .

They posted a pic on facebook of their new high tech video scoreboard thingy. Looks pretty cool. Excited to see it and the team in person next weekend.

Good to hear they are catching up to the 20th century. May be next they'll let women go out of the house. ;D (azvb, I've already slapped myself for you)

Hoping BYU makes it TWELVE and ZERO against your beloved Huskies! So, everyone has an LED scoreboard with high def video?

Don't know about everyone, but it's pretty common. It used to be you had a bunch of scoreboards around a central video board. Now the up-to-date thing is to have all video boards, which you can use to simulate scoreboards or show entirely as one big video screen.
In many places, all the smaller scoreboards are also all video, so they can show scoreboard stuff or switch to advertising or show flags during the national anthem or whatever else. It also means you can customize all your scoreboards for each sport in software.

This is the new video screen at Safeco Field, for instance. I think it is the fourth-largest video screen in the world, or at least it was when it was installed last year. It looks like a smaller screen surrounded by ads, but it is really all one screen. They can show video on the whole screen, or show different ads at different times, or whatever else they want.

There is a great one at Chase Field (Dbacks). Fun to watch replays, although not many Dbacks highlights to watch lately.
So most college basketball, volleyball arenas have these? I need to get out more.

I need to get out more. I don't know about most, but the UW is set up the same way as Safeco now. All the "scoreboards" are really just screens, so they can be set up to show whatever is desired.

True story, the giant screens at Hec Ed were given to UW for free. When the football stadium was being remodeled a few years ago Daktronics threw in the video displays for Hec Ed as a bribe to get the contract for Husky Stadium.

More like it's a transfer of benefits from football to the other sports.

Read an article in the Salt Lake Tribune about Hamson. How much better does she make BYU? They are thinking NC potential. Is she really that good?

Read an article in the Salt Lake Tribune about Hamson. How much better does she make BYU? They are thinking NC potential. Is she really that good? Yes, she is that good. One of the best if not the best Opposite in the country in my opinion. Add to that Alexa Gray, another All-American hitter...they will be very good!
