Saw SSS again tonight because she happened to be playing my friend. Such a steady setter. Her connection with the middles was incredible, set a great ball out to Jazz Martin all match. And demonstrated the ability to effortlessly back-set to her RS when need be. I saw only 2 poor sets come from her the whole match! Put up a mean block on a few talented Edina hitters all night and had some nice digs out of the back. Served tough as well.
Oh, and congrats to her on becoming the #8 senior ace today. Minnesota got a good one.

www.startribune.com/sports/274974181.html?page=1&c=yNice article on Daly Santana and her family and background. I'd agree; she is very easy and fun to root for. She seems to have taken an even more vocal leadership approach on the court and seems very sweet and encouraging to the other team members. Plus, she can crush the ball. What's not to love?

She already has some big offers coming her way, but she strikes me as someone who wants to stay home. The problem (a good problem to have), is fellow 15-1 OH Claire Sheehan has strong interest in becoming a Gopher. Will we take all 3 and move Jazz to RS? That would be a luxury to have, and it could work. Still waiting on Brie Orr and Halle Johnston as well. This class could be extra, extra special.

A little premature, but I think it's safe to say Kleinman will start right away for us. She should end up being a top 10 recruit. Both she and Sheehan (just waiting on her to make a decision now) are 6-rotation OHs, but Jazz is strictly a front row player besides on her serve. So maybe she could transition to RS.

Seriously, you're just gonna take NL 15-1 and send them out as your Minnesota Golden Gophers?

Seriously, you're just gonna take NL 15-1 and send them out as your Minnesota Golden Gophers? Nope. But when you have 3 (very likely) future top 25 senior aces in that group not including maybe thee top libero in the 2017 class, no reason not to try to keep all 4 of them at home. As it stands, there isn't a 16s team in the nation better than them, and those 4 are the reason why. We already have an elite recruit on the board in Sydney Kleinman to get things started too. Could be the best recruiting class we've had in a long time depending on how things play out.

Seriously, you're just gonna take NL 15-1 and send them out as your Minnesota Golden Gophers? And since when does 4 players out of 11 or 12 constitute as a whole team? I'm sure most college teams would kill to get any of those 4 recruits. Throw in those guys with Kleinman, and you'd probably have a top 2 recruiting class in the country for 2017. Not sure what problem you're seeing...

Why are you taking this as an insult/criticism?

Certainly not doubling down yet per the falling apart bit. It seems to me like only three B1G teams are top12, and they begin with the letters N, W, and PSU. A week or so ago it looked like an I and another P could be added and a 6-6 start going to the MIchigans and a 5-3 finish looked like best case scenario, now it looks like there is a goog chance to be better than that.
