Any one know if the men's vb program makes money each year? or is it subsidized by the overall athletic dept, and/or university?

Maybe the women's team subsidizes the men's team. If you have ever been to a women's game in Hawaii they draw more then then the men's basketball team and its a crazy atmosphere.

Years ago, the men's volleyball was in the black. They made money when they were bringing in larger crowds. But attendance figures kept going down so now they are not making the profits they used to.

I saw attendance figures for MVB and UH was #2. Ticket sales are nothing like the Wahine games, but they do well in sales in comparison to other programs... Not to say that means they're in the black. Just sayin'.
