They don't deserve the high ranking they got. Who did they beat? A bunch of nobodies. But you can't underestimate how good they look on paper. They've got Christal Morrison, Sonja Tomasevic, Courtney Thompson. It's a loaded team.

We'll see how Washington stack up against big teams next weekend when they march into Los Angeles against UCLA and USC.

3 players (one of which is a freshman) qualifies a team as being 'loaded?'

They've got Christal Morrison, Sonja Tomasevic, Courtney Thompson. It's a loaded team. So are you rooting against them or for them? I can't tell. In any case, I think they do deserve this higher ranking. Washington has remained undefeated while other teams have fallen. It doesn't matter at this point who they have beaten or not because it's too early in the season, imho. They have done their job and not sucumbed to any pressures or let any other team give them a loss. This team has all the right pieces to go very far in December. I've always thought they would be ranked in the Top 3 come the beginning of the season because they have the superstar (Tomasevic), the have the great setter (Thompson), the freshman that gives them a boost (Morrison, and soon Dessing), and a great libero in Candace Lee. Not to mention, their middles aren't too shabby. This is a very dangerous team and this is their year to do some major damage. They won't undefeated in the Pac-10, but they will be in the Top 3, depending how they handle the pressure.

It's a little impressive that they haven't lost a game... better tests are on the way for them though
