Frantti with another kill on a set she had to lean back for. Starting to think that may be by design. Very different hitting style on the left side after four years of watching the magnificent Deja McClendon.

This third set is going to give Coach Rose plenty to talk about in practice. Not a bad thing. PSU in control but not looking smooth on offense. 22-16 now.

Nice dig by TCU on very heavy ball hit by Frantti. I bet she didn't see that much in HS. Frantt with kill on following point, so PSU wins 25-17.

The freshman sound like they came to play and are real deal. Hopefully we get to see Washington soon

4 attackers over .400, 3 over .500 is scary.

Looked like Washington didn't suit-up for the game. Nothing too serious, I hope.

Too bad this is the best team they will see before Stanford, but at least there should be plenty for them to talk about and work on after this match.
I wouldn't describe anything about this PSU performance as scary, but I don't see serious weaknessses.
I did think the freshman and Whitney looked solid and tuned in offensively and defensively. Even without Washington, who was expected to play middle (and still may), this team doesn't seem to have any weaknesses. We knew Frantti would be a hitter but she seemed engaged defensively as well. Whitney looks tons better than when she last got a lot of playing time two years ago. Lee and Frantti both hit the ball very hard. And Courtney really looks ready to expand her role in a lot of ways this year.

Courtney hit .556, Grant .538, Frantti .500, Whitney .429, Hancock .400, and Lee .118. I wonder who will sit when Washington comes back? Lee only played front row while Frantti played all around and looked like something special. TCU was too small to stop the PSU attack. Courtney looked like she had played RS all her life even though it is a new position for her.
