Don't think I'm going to be able to see either of these two games. We don't have Pac-12 network on our cable package here in NY. There's no other option right? Don't feel bad, we don't have it in WI either. At least on cable. I don't think there is another option, but when the match notes come out we will find out. You should be able to get radio streaming and probably the blog.

I was planning to watch in person, but I guess that might be tricky from NY. When a match isn't being broadcast by PAC12, Washington is allowed to stream it for free (still accessed through the PAC12 network site). But I don't know what the deal is for these matches. IMO, these conference networks should allow free streaming for non-conference matches. It could be seen as a loss leader -- giving away a taste of your product so that maybe people will want to buy the conference season.

Got friends in Seattle, but midweek cross country trips during a busy time at work ain't happening. Not until my teleporter arrives, at least.
You might think they would stream these matches as advertisement. On the other hand, they probably think these cross conference matchups are likely to be best for ratings.
I love the Nordstrom + Arias audio team for Wisconsin, and I would greatly prefer if they provided commentary for BIG video streams, but I get so much more from watching volleyball than listening to others watching it. Something better than nothing I guess.

Also, let me interject that after next Saturday Illinois will have played 4 PAC-12 teams. UCLA (0-3 loss), Stanford (2-3 loss), Washington State (3-0 win), and Colorado (coming up this Saturday in Omaha at Creighton tourney).
Northwestern defeated Colorado 3-2 in the teams' first match of the season at a Northern Illinois U. tourney.

I predict UW will beat UW on Friday, and I'm willing to back up that prediction with serious money! Conventional wisdom would have Washington favored over Wisconsin because of home court, but I think Washington is still figuring out their line-up and Wisconsin could have a 3 or 4 set win. Here's what I do know, it's great to finally have some real competition at home for pre-conference matches. Most coaches in the Pac12 are beefing up their early schedule for RPI purposes, but from a fan perspective, it's nice to finally have matches that have some real meaning to them prior to the start of Pac-12 play. The "10 PM" start + home court gives U-Dub a serious advantage. I know UdoubleU is going out there today, but still. But I agree with you, my money is on UW winning! Are the PAC teams all coming east next year? It's still an easier adjustment because the time zone moves favorably for them. It will rotate, many Pac-12 schools went east last year. Washington went to Illinois, the Oregon's went to the Michigans, USC went to Purdue.

Coverage Information:
It appears that the Pac-12 Networks is going to show all of these matches, live....that's what both UW and USC's schedule says and that is what my channel finder says on my TV. The Pac-12 networks lets you stream any of the regional networks as long as you provide your TV subscribers information. It seems like all four matches will be televised/streamed on all the regional networks simultaneously (I am in the bay area regional network). I'm going to set my DVR for all the matches, which means my online stream should be accessible. I'm willing to share my login this week so Wisconsin fans who don't have access to the Pac-12 networks can watch the live stream. I'm not sure if there is a limit to how many different people can use my account, but I suppose we'll find out! PM closer to match time for details. And for those I do give it out to, please don't be jerks and do something that could mess up my account, thanks!

PAC12N customer support suggested a fix (that I haven't tried yet). What happened was that I tried to access the stream from PAC12N. For verification it sent me to login to Comcast. I did. Then it went back to PAC12N but the authentication failed. PAC12N support told me the problem was that I wasn't allowing 3rd party cookies. I guess they have their authentication tokens set up using cookies.

I know UdoubleU is going out there today, but still. 8 pm Seattle time - the USC-Wiscy match will start at 5:30 pm (PDT), so plenty of time for the Badgers to adjust to the time switch. Serve and pass. Washington has dialed back their serve some this season. Will they unleash it against Wiscy? Serve-receive is a work-in-progress, but potentially very good.

Too bad P12N and BTN aren't co-mutually sharing broadcasts - lot more exposure if these "challenge" matches were on both networks. If you know someone who does have P12N, see if you can borrow their log-on information.

Oh, no! A color out! Wisconsin was so rattled by one of those in Fort Collins that they only jumped out to an 11-3 lead. Of course, they then blew it, but ended up winning the set and match. Sorry, my friend and I have a running joke about color outs. I would probably make fun of it and wear my gray shirt if Wisconsin did one, to be fair.

The strange thing is, almost everybody wears purple anyway. So I don't get the special request.

However, after consideration of my poor laptop performance for the last few online streams, I think I will forgo so others may have the opportunity, and so you don't get in trouble! In any case, it seems a shame that B1G and Pac-12 networks don't both carry this. I guess they share some markets, and both would take a hit because of the overlap, but would it really be a larger hit than the hit Pac-12 network (or BTN) will take by showing it to only a fraction of the country? Certainly there could be some revenue sharing agreement. I doubt they thought about it much.
