Does other schools have the "Aunty's" that give lei's (or maybe something else) at the ending of each match?

Higgins improved as the match progressed. That was good to see.

good win against an nau team that definitely played better on night 2.
this lineup showed good things last night. and tonight they showed that this lineup still needs some time to gel together.
tai saved and led hawaii tonight. 13k .414, 16 digs, 3 blocks, and an ace. i don't think she's ever hit over .400 in a match before tonight (someone correct me if i'm wrong).
i like the weapons that this lineup presents. the key will be finding their consistency. it'll be interesting to see how this young team will be on the road too.

Looks like Tai has good numbers tonight. Well she had 15 kills and hit a whopping .429, not to mention she had quite a few digs, also.

Olevao has a fast swing. and she hits hard too and explosive. she's also improved her vertical since her freshman year. contacting the ball at the higher point, seeing the block better ... and better able to hit high off the hands. she got blocked a lot last year.

This lineup will give opposing teams trouble cause all 3 Outside Hitters can play both the Left and Right Side quite well. On any given night you will not know how Dave will have them aligned. Also, on any given night any of the 5 girls (Taylor, Olevao, Greeley, Magill, and Adolpho) can carry the Wahine to victory.

What I liked about NAU, is for the most part they dug a lot of Hawaii's hitters' shots, they covered their own hitters well and they weren't afraid of Hawaii's big block and was just banging away.
What I liked about Higgins, is even though her sets can be a bit funky, she does distribute the sets around nicely. Manu-Olevao had the most sets (I feel mainly because she had the hot hands tonight) with 29, Taylor had 21 sets, Magill had 18 sets, Greeley had 19 sets and Adolpho had 15 sets.

It'll be scary if and hopefully when everything clicks.....setting is consistent, hitting is consistent, blocking consistent (such a surprise plus this year)...Imagine if 3 of the 5 are having an "on" night.

NAU is a very quick defensive minded team. Their fairly effective shutting down of Magill was impressive. Luckily, this Wahine team is laden with talent offensively. Adolpho had her best match of the season so far. Tai Manu-Olevao is a completely different player from last year. I am so impressed with her growth. She carried the Wahine tonight overall. I like Higgins, but I do see the inconsistency. I do feel it's just growing pains, not lack of ability etc. Patience Wahine Fans! Go 'Bows!
