From HuskyNewsGazette.com and a story about Strickland: Really?? Last I checked freedom of speech was still in tack. Bullies like you need to chill out! Not sure what kind of tack you'd put speech in, but thankfully my freedom of speech is still intact.

Re-watching the match, one sequence stood out.
End of 2nd set, USC has set point, 24--23. Bricio serves a rocket, targeting Strickland. Strickland has to dive forward and from her knees makes a dig that is an easy high pass for Tanner, who sets Vansant for a kill.
Next play, Strickland makes a great serve which is kept in play for what should have been a Nwanebu kill, but Strickland makes another outstretched point-saving dig and UW goes up 25-24.
Next play Strickland serve puts USC out of system for a UW win.
Three straight plays turned set two from a USC win and a 1-1 match tie, into the makings of a sweep. In that stretch, Strickland played as well as any libero I've seen play the game.

What people have to realize is that up until this season, Strickland has never played libero before. She's always been a hitter. The difference between these two positions is a lot bigger than you realize.
Miyashiro and Orlandini should never be mentioned in the same sentence. Miyashiro was I one of the best liberos to ever play the game. Orlandini was average at best.

Anyone who isn't a Strickland fan teally doesn't "get" competitive people. Did you see JMac's interview during the USC match when they asked him about Strickland? I think his response says it all about the kind of person/player she is

I think his response says it all about the kind of person/player she is I get it. I think i'm often misunderstood. Its hard to control, and we only blame ourselves after losses. The competitive players re-live every error, even if they hit .500 30-2-56.. Chances are they remember those two errors and say i'm the reason why we lost because of my two errors in the fifth set we lost 16-14.
