The average change in Pablo rating from year to year is 525 points. Even for teams between 4000 and 6000, it is 475. What's the average for a Top 50-ish squad? I imagine there's less variability at the top? Actually, no, because there is a lot more room to fall. That is my first response. The spread at the top tends to be larger than in the middle. Born out in data. For teams rated over 6500, average change is 675 points. However, 75% of that are teams that fell. Basically, teams near the top tend to fall back more than they tend to go up. Of course.

Your rating changes more, but your ranking doesn't change as much. The point difference between 10 and 20 is bigger than the difference between 150 and 160.

Relax on the "good" comment partner. 1) "Good" is a relative term where as my view is different than yours 2) The team has major injury issues. My only point was that they had goals at the beginning of the season that are probably not going to happen due to those injuries. Wasn't looking for you to pull out a bunch of stats. Just making a comment. Have a cup of coffee and just relax a bit...Wow...

I realize good is a relative term, but it's usually within the context of nationwide or even within the conference. Bradley hasn't been a good program in either of those contexts, so you'll have to forgive me for not appreciating the fact that you meant they were a good program relative to Peoria High School.

Illinois State and UNI both pulled off a pair of sweeps this weekend (with UNI hitting the 1000 match win milestone for the program tonight) to maintain their unblemished conference records. Sets up a big match next Friday, when the Panthers travel to Redbird Arena.
