Either you like his sense of humor or you don't. I know I do. More important, I think most of his players do. Russ has always used these public statements to get his players to improve their game. He doesn't intend to replace anyone.

He's just being funny in his deadpan Russ Rose way. On the other hand he means it. They have to cut down the service errors one way or another. Really to be fair PSU hasn't had the error bug as much this as they've had early in the last two seasons. They served very well against Wisconsin. But the errors against Minnesota made that match a good deal more exciting than it should have been. Exactly why do you like the last line. It sounds terrible like his ego is so big that it couldn't possibly be his coaching or something. I think he is the best coach in WCVB but this sounds like at first he is trying to take responsibility for it but then saying that the players aren't good enough. I think it ultimately comes down to coaching. He makes the line up and to suggest its the players is ridiculous Penn State gets their pick of the litter when it comes to recruits so I don't know.

You don't get to be a legend without having ego to spur you on but RR is trying to give his players a sense of urgency to focus more on their serving. The serving at Nebraska should be much better.
