Carlini will mesmerize the Huskers and have them off-balance all night. I feel you give the Nebraska team no respect when you say that. LOL we have beaten Carlini and her team the last 2 years and this year she will mesmerize? David Copperfield bring it on !!! Well I hope Nebraska would have beaten Carlini's high school team in 2012. I think it will be close match, or the Badgers will choke on expectations, a la PSU. Badgers have not beaten Huskers since 1978. Granted, they haven't played them regularly until 2011, but still.

Well, it will be interesting to see what happens. Nebraska just seemed really huge when they played Minnie. It will be interesting to see how the blocking situation develops. Will UW continue its improvement in blocking against such a large physical team? Will they be able to hit past the block? I don't really have an impression of the huskers otherwise. They are a mystery to me, which makes me worried.

They [Huskers] are a mystery to me, which makes me worried. You, me and pretty much everyone else this season!

I believe the losing streak is finally, finally ending today. I hope to be happy and hopped up on 5 dollar sodas, as it is also Bo Ryan's 1 pm Madness this afternoon. I may have to leave that early to not sit in the corner of the Field House, though.

Spoken like someone who does not have the weight of history weighing down expectations! We got clobbered by PSU not so long ago, so there's also that. It's true, we have been playing well (although not spectacularly), exuding confidence and improving weekly but it doesn't seem the time to get comfortable. I feel this team is finding different ways to win matches, which could be a sign that we are gaining strength in new areas, strategically playing to other teams' weaknesses, or being inconsistent in some aspects of our game. Because of that ambiguity it's hard to say exactly how good we are. I need to see a bit more before being willing to say we could win out. As I've said before, the key will be how we get through these next two matches, then I will have a better sense of the potential of this badger team. At this point, though, I think winning out is a long shot -- and that goes for everybody else in the B1G as well. However, if we get through these, I think our chances are are substantially better than 50% -- although that depends on how we get through them. Also, an injury here or there, or someone getting sick or distracted by off court issues can put a real monkey wrench into expectations. So as a fan you are always cautious.

Wisconsins got this. Too much turmoil on the other side. Carlini/Thomas show.

Those of us who spent our time in the wilderness are still pinching ourselves on the daily. Which is not to say I think they cannot win. I am simply saying that Nebraska is not to be underestimated. They have many kills spread across many hitters, and a solid block. If they have their act together today, they can definitely bring the pain.

MTC stop trying to be a Badger fan when you aren't. Nice reverse sandbagging. There aren't any "true" Badger fans on this board who are thinking with 100% certainty that they will this match, never mind the next 10. Are we confident we can win? YES. But we are playing the team that beat PSU to whom we lost at home. Many of us think they can, but no one is being coy about anything.

Why is this game not on BTN? I have Big Ten Football in 60 for that time slot? Seriously, what is up with the programming on BTN?
I like watching B1G volleyball because they have some great matchups like this one. I take Wisconsin 3-1 and if Nebraska is not on then it could be 3-0

My bad! I did not check that and when I did I actually had it recorded in case I forgot. Occupational hazard of constant work travel.

A win by the Huskers will make the Big Ten race very interesting, with 4 teams tied for 1st place. So I'll be cheering for them.
