Net violation NEB on a kill by Carlini, and she aces to end it.

I'm expecting a sweep -- Nebraska enters the woodshed early and never gets out. Well, I'm not sure if BIG RED was in the shed the entire match, but I never got the feeling they would take a set.

Speaking of whom, Morey ends up averaging just under 10 digs a set at 29.

The Huskers only scored 20 or above in one set... Yikes. Nebraska's passing was not good today and Ostrander was not effective.

You are reading quite a bit into this. I always thought Waite was pointing to these past two years. Carlini really doesn't need Waite or Sheffield. I've known Waite since he was at NIU. He is a terrific person. I'm sure everyone feels same about Sheffield.

I love the fact that VB leads into the World series pregrame show.

He is a terrific person. I'm sure everyone feels same about Sheffield. Everyone I knew said Waite was a really class guy. I do not understand what happened after that disappointment in 2007. No one has been able to explain it to me. UW often started OK then completely flamed out most seasons, as if they didn't improve during the season. It's hard to argue with Sheffs results though, and especially his ability to knit this team together. Granted, he has a lot of help, buts he rally knows how to use it.

So UW basically hit their B1G average HP (0.265) and held NEB to the B1G average opponent hitting percentage (0.143). Badgers outblocked Neb 8-6. Neb really needed to win that battle. Badgers were +4 in the service game -- Neb 6se and 3sa, UW with 3sa and 2se. Badgers played a very error free game. Nelson ended up hitting a quiet 0.455 with key kills in the last set.
Carlini second among all hitters with 9 kills. That's a first. Thomas with 10 kills hitting .286.
