Magill is hitting .411 for the season so the sets from Higgins can't be that bad. Could they be better...sure! But Higgins had no playing time last season so she is really starting from zero. The reason (or one of) Magill is hitting for a high percentage is the fact that she keeps the ball in play. At the start of the year, she was tipping a lot and those tips were going down. Now, as teams are figuring her out, they camp on her and pick up the dig, or Hawaii hasn't been passing that great so they haven't been setting her that much. the connection last night b/w magill and higgins actually looked better than its been. still a few sets were low, but there were more that got to a height that magill needs it. and the introduction of that 31 set was a welcome addition/variation on the sets to magill.

Hawaii is playing outstanding right now. Dave must of gave them hell for their losses to norhsige and lbsu Not really, remember they are play a not so good Cal Poly team. They play like this against LBSU and Long Beach will make it a very quick match. the passing was steady, and hawaii hit .350 on the night. hit .350 against long beach st, and hawaii won't lose. and it won't go 5.
