SO, UCF, Illinois State, UALR, Ohio and Lipscomb all need to win their conference tourneys for some of these borderline Big Ten schools to make the tourney.

Not quite, it's complicated, and it may be even more complicated or become clearer over the next few weeks. I have more concern for Michigan than MSU of making the tournament, I think Purdue will be okay, and still not sure on Minnesota

So regionals would look like: at ISU: 1. Texas vs 16. KSU 8. Florida vs 9. CSU at Louisville: 2. FSU vs. 15. Illinois 7. Oregon vs 10. Penn St. at Minnesota: 3. Stanford vs 14. BYU 6. Wisconsin vs 11. Arizona at Seattle: 4. Washington vs 13. Kentucky 5. North Carolina vs 12. Nebraska
I think Texas and Washington would like their regionals, and Penn St. would also be happy. Stanford would have the toughest regional.

I'd be ok with that

Stanford would have the toughest regional. and what's the point of this? seeds NEVER go strictly by RPI. If all the records were to shake out like this. Even among the top 5, Stanford and Washington would have far more wins over top 25 RPI teams than FSU (hard to see both of them seeded below FSU), Also North Carolina as a the 5 seed when Wisconsin will end up with a better record against top 25 teams both in wins and win percentage? That's not happening.

Nebraska Looks like you just made life tougher for Washington (and Penn St.), and easier (by dropping their seeds??) for FSU and North Carolina.

Except that in this model Washington has one loss, Stanford has two, and FSU has 1 and Texas has 1....if this were to all actually play out it means the UW wins the Pac-12 crown AND has more top 25 wins than Texas and FSU...That doesn't sound like a 4 seed to me, sounds like a #1 overall.

OK, assuming Washington wins the Pac-12: at Seattle: 1. Washington vs 16. KSU 8. Florida vs 9. CSU at ISU: 2. Texas vs. 15. Illinois 7. Oregon vs 10. Penn St. at Louisville: 3. FSU vs 14. BYU 6. North Carolina vs 11. Arizona at Minnesota: 4. Stanford vs 13. Kentucky 5. Wisconsin vs 12. Nebraska Let's hope this happens for Washington! But poor Texas, Penn St., Stanford, and Wisconsin ... ouch!
