Not hating on the guy. Hating on any and all who include playing in open nationals in the article about who they just hired. Did they play double b? Sorry but stick to college or club playing experience and coaching ability/history. Feel free and mention in the interview process that you still play and by all means play. Just leave that part out of the release. Easy now...the release is probably written by the SID or their assistant/designee. They were sent a copy of resume and viola - a release is born. It needed to have a certain word count, and they were looking for anything and everything they could string together in sentence form. I doubt the coaches ever saw it, and may not have read it after it was up.

Some schools can't be bothered so the SID will tell the new hire to write something and then they make sure the grammar and spelling are correct and then off we go. Others will actually do as vboldskool says.

Is a B1G assistant position open at this relatively late date?

It's a little nutty for it to be open this late.

His wife decided she did not want to move out/relocate to Ohio so he made the decision to move back to San Diego.

Uphill battle? Wofford had three players on the all freshman team and was one of the youngest teams in the country. Huge upside.. Ron Sweet made so many poor on-court decisions and played so many pointless mind games, he alienated all of his players. He wanted a close knit family-like atmosphere where he could rub elbows with the parents and get chummy with the players. He rubbed a lot of elbows the wrong way and it cost him. Two of his best academic players quit after the season.. maybe someone asked why.

Nice try, but not even close. Go troll somewhere else. Why would you say something like that? Because it's your first post, and it showed up well after Wofford had been discussed. That usually indicates a personal connection of some kind.
