I've met him and I think he will do well. Sounds weird that they wouldn't even post the position, to see what level of interest was out there, before hiring someone with one season of paid experience. Sounds like an amazing case of "right place, right time".

Not saying this was or wasn't a good hire (in fact I think it was a decent hire) but to not even do a search seems complacent.

This might be the only way these days unless you volunteered at POWER 5 school, with POWER 5 Head Coach calling for you. Just sayin. Hope he does well.

Lethargic or apathetic maybe. So when an AD does a search, and chooses a person based on anything EXCEPT who is the best candidate for the job, would that be incompetent?

Moving from asst to HC he got a pay increase but the school saved money since its his first year. The recruits will stay as he was a large part of the process and this late that's a plus in his favor. They won't beat Tampa and not many will. Hope he does well and as in recruiting, sometimes it's right place right time. He nailed that one as Boca is an easy sell.

Have to chime in here since I touched base with Lynzee before she left for Wofford. She was over the moon Adam was hired by AD since he's worked basically for nothing for a while. They only had a GA position previously, so his help was a big deal it sounds like. The AD did a few days of legwork and had a huge influx of calls. It may have been the worlds fastest search, but I think it's pretty cool that the AD respected all the years of loyalty Adam has apparently shown to the program instead of just getting someone who may have appeared better on the release.
