I didn't think Nicky wants to coach the women's team. I was told she was in charge until the season was over when they would conduct a search for a new coach so she could focus on being the men's coach. No she wants to and will be the head of both. Unless she is getting a huge increase in pay and a full time assistant for both team, coaching both teams at the D II level is not a long term solution. A few years yes but after that burnout.

I hate being negative but if we are being honest I would guess CJ has 9-10 days left at Rutgers. I doubt it....he is cheap labor in a sport they really don't care about. With him in place they never have to dish out Big Ten salaries at any of the 3 positions. Just a thought. I completely agree. If they look for a new coach the expectations of what they need to compete in Big 10 will be huge. Jump in facilities, salaries, additional staff, and etc. I can't see them ready to pay for it all. Especially when they can get the smaller sports competing at that level quicker-why not throw the money to them.

Because they just have to say "what have you done to deserve it" Bottom of the barrel in a weak Big East for years? Not to be harsh. But it's the reality. Of course some people do think highly enough of themselves to try that move. Is he one?

Anyone who gets that job won't be successful for like 4-6 years. No thank you.

3 openings in the Big Sky in 5 days.....chance of 4....going once....going twice.... I like how they add that jab in at the end of the press release... like firing vb coaches in the Big Sky is contagious...maybe just for the bottom feeders?

Since Aame's contract is up in April, do you think the administration would be more inclined to hire Lori, or do you think they will look outside? She's paid her dues and would be a great replacement.

Well here I go. I'll be looking for a FT DIII assistant job. Here's to hoping there are more than a few openings this year. Just the impatient side of me waiting for postings to come up! Good luck with that. Are there even a double-digit amount of those jobs out there - FT Asst for D3? Why not D2, NAIA, JuCO as well? Why D3 only?

How many first-year-at-their-new-program coaches are in the D1 playoffs this year?
3 I can think of - Hofstra, Jacksonville, Bakersfield. Any others?
For some, a job opening may not be a long re-building process.

She is an intense coach and I heard she got too intense for the players (or the parents.) Things were said/done that were inappropriate. She was asked by AD to sit out a few games last I knew, but apparently that led to not returning at all. The team responded very well, went on to upset some top level seeds in the conference tourney, so I guess they liked the change.
