If Robinson was playing, maybe. Otherwise, no. I assume we are bringing in a DS because we need a DS. "I assume we are bringing in a DS because we need a DS." Wasn't Onosko a DS? Hasn't worked out too well now has it. Whatever happened to Robinson anyway? Transfer? Please remember Onosko is a walk-on, paying her own way (with out of state tuition).

Doing so well in track makes me conjure images of Hentz to some degree (as much as anybody could ever match Hentz's athleticism). No one would be happier if Houghton was the real deal, but I'm a strong believer in having the best athletes on the court. Maybe being from Eastern Washington plays a bit toward a bias, just slightly though.

Mikkleson is recovering from shoulder surgery; should be 100% by the time season comes around. Houghton is legit, definitely will compete for the starting ds spot.

My interpretation was more that he thought you were being disrespectful to Onosko's effort with a dismissive "Hasn't worked out too well now has it".

I like Onosko a lot, tremendous kid with a scheiße load of energy. However, digging is one area we could stand for some improvements.

More of a reminder that she is a true "student athlete", who works as hard as any player on the roster Onosko Bio

Last game. Too bad the team didn't play the start of the tournament as well as the end, they've been kicking some serious arse at the end there. "Outside hitter Kara Bajema led the way with 10 kills in just 13 attempts for an efficiency mark of .692" “I thought [the World University Games] was a great experience,” said Bajema, looking back on the past week. “One of the big takeaways I got from this tournament was watching all the different countries’ styles of play. I think it’s very unique to see how people play according to personnel. This will be a great experience for all these girls because it’s a good opportunity to play with girls you’re unfamiliar with and learn from different coaches and be able to adapt in all sorts of different environments.” www.teamusa.org/usa-volleyball/high-performance/hp-indoor/national-teams/~/link.aspx?_id=0A56311B8DDF4D068B99502163F5E0B3&_z=z

I'm curious to see how Wilmes develops over these next couple years. She played up a couple years on an open level 18's team and can generally score, which is promising. IMO it wasn't the best 18's field this past year and she wasn't given significant passing duties (though still played back row, unlike her OH counterpart, Williams, 2019 Oregon). I'm really hoping that this upcoming year as a 17's player (presumably still playing on the 18's team) she gets forced into being a primary passer. She was recently selected to the youth national team, so her stock must surely be rising re her future prospects.
In the pic, she looks to be about the same height as Summers, which is a plus. That 6-2 listing may be more accurate then some of the other heights I've seen (like one where it said Endlsey was 6-3...which is just not true)

I don't recognize her. Probably a walkon DS. I heard a year ago we were heavily looking at some backcourt prospects from Oregon.
