That's nice that you have Niki's future all planned out for her. Let her decide. She will be at Fullerton at least until the end of spring volleyball and finals. She my not want to transfer. I bet this new coach can keep the players. She will do a fine job with the girls and in the Big West. This was Niki's own decision. And her leaving only marginally had to do with the coach being let go.

It begs the question why Withers chose a program--Cal State Fullerton--which has been in serious decline and is gravely underfunded.

Autumn Bailey leaving Marquette, per the Big East thread. South Bend, or Big Ten?

Autumn Bailey leaving Marquette, per the Big East thread. South Bend, or Big Ten? B1G where? Iowa? Back to Bond? Bailey impressed the hell out of me watching Marquette v. IL State at our subregional in December. She picked up that team and carried them on her back. Two steps farther and they'd've won. She could write her ticket at a lot of schools. ACC, maybe? I don't really know who needs what.

The word on the street is the reason Bailey bailed is because she wants to go "BIG" which means she probably won't end up in Buffalo. I'm guessing Iowa, but I'm sure she's getting lots of interest from many schools. She's a solid all around Player and will be a definite plus to many teams. Even though she can jump out of the gym, she might find it tough against the bigger Big Ten Teams but she might be great at South Bend!

What's going on at Maequette that 2 top players leaving? The coach who recruited them left for another job? When they committed, Marquette was in a relevant volleyball league and that's no longer the case? Plenty of reasons to leave Marquette.

When they committed, the Big East had 14 teams and was getting two or three teams into the tournament each year. Now the conference is down to 10 members, but they've still received two and three bids the past couple of years. Seems to me like that's better than the old conferencev

What's going on at Maequette that 2 top players leaving? They'd committed to Bond and played under him. My bet is that when he left, they decided to give the new coach a year to see how things worked, and after that year, they determined that it just wasn't a good fit anymore, so now they're looking elsewhere. It seems a mature way to handle things, and I cannot really blame them.
