Isn't EJ from Chicago-land originally?
And edumacate me, what is a "pineapple." Arias talked about it on the radio, but didn't explain it.

I think a pineapple is a pancake in fist form.

A pineapple is a setter tip towards a corner. Sort of like lobbing a grenade "pineapple".

A pineapple is a setter's high dump to the back corner of the court

A pineapple is a beach term to describe a shot for a kill using only the knuckles usually into a corner of the court. Hope that helps. Go Badgers!

Beach refs are much tougher on double contacts so many players use their knuckles.

You WISCONSIN Badgers are lucky. IMO, you have two of the best setters in the country. I used to watch EJ on the west coast play indoor and beach. She is awesome.

I wish we got to see her more. Maybe against Rutgers? A friend from chicago said she made a shoot set off her knees to one of your middles over the block that was killer and she ended the set with a joust. Is that true?
