Purdue seems to have real problems on the road. I can't think of a team in the big ten that seems as affected by being away, except possibly Minnesota.

BoxscoreDecent crowd, considering the mess down there tonight with parking. So was Hannah at opposite?

Best match of the year for MN. Hannah at opposite where she didn't do much offensively but was a force along the net. The MN block was really getting into the heads of Purdue.
Got so bad at that in the 3rd set and down 20-11, Shondell took to blaming the line judge for things.
Hopefully, they can continue this on Wednesday!

Was at the match tonight and Purdue just couldn't seem to do anything right. The Gophers were a little shaky at the outset and and Schau's initial sets seemed to have the hitters reaching and adjusting quite a bit, but they settled down and were really making some scrappy defensive plays. It was a fun match to watch.
I'm not sure if I'm remembering correctly, but I don't think that Shondell took any time-outs during that 3rd set and he even sat down on the bench for awhile. It seemed like he was going to let figure it out on their own. And to be fair, I think that the line judge blew one of those calls, but by that time in the match, it didn't make any difference.

BoxscoreDecent crowd, considering the mess down there tonight with parking. So was Hannah at opposite? Crowd was great! Nice and loud tonight. It was easily the funnest (fight me grammar police!) match I've watched in person since that 5-set win vs Nebraska in 2012. Paige and Hannah had some monstrous blocks, the team improvised in extended rallies extremely well, and Daly consistently rattled off amazing kills on basically everything sent her way.
