Oh, look, Washington isn't dead and didn't have a lot of problems with two ranked opponents. That is hard to believe. Oh, wait, no it isn't.

One play that exemplified Cassie's transition to the libero mindset. Middle of second set, a loopy free ball came over, straight to Krista. Cassie had time and stepped right in front with no hesitation and put up a 3 option pass. (Or 4 with Krista now setting up for the back row approach).

Interesting, Big Daddy doing play-by-play with Kevin Barnett on the telecast. That should be outlawed. How did they do? Interesting pairing.

I don't understand why Bre Bailey is so ineffective. I get the setting is wild, but I feel like she should be hitting .300 - with her height and the extension she gets on her swing.

I was talking about that with my dad during the match. If anything she was a negative factor for ASU rather than a positive one.

She's hitting .150 for the season, .082 in PAC-12 play. #11 recruit... and just look at her. I don't get it. She and Binns are the Sun Devils who should be All-Americans but really, really aren't

The answer to my question was yes and no. We saw both the good Tia and the bad Tia today. The bad Tia was in evidence for set 1 and the latter part of set 3: a tentative, "safe" swing that too often found the block or was easily dug, even on very hittable sets. The good Tia had a great stretch in set 3 where she swung with more authority, and with good location, and had more of her trademark tools. Granted, this was against an ASU team that was pretty down at that point. But it was a confident swing, and with a heavier ball than we had seen earlier. As I've said before, the Huskies absolutely need Scambray at her best in the coming weeks. Bring on the Cardinal. I have seen Tia play multiple times before both for Tstreet and Dana Hills HS and all I can say is, UW got real lucky in having her. She could've gone elsewhere like UCLA or Cal or USC. You lose Vansant next season but I am willing to wager Tia will be so ready in stepping up to that OH1 position. The thing that bothers me though about her is the low contact point in her attacks which was evident even before. I somehow noticed she (and the coaching staff) might have been working on it this season as she is more effective and have been racking up the kills stats.

It's pretty funny that a fuzzy picture from pretty far away elicits comments on this board.

But Hamson had 2 years left, which turned in to 3, so I understand the logic. Not sure if she was an OPP or OH in club. BYU could use an OH2.
