I think you're probably right, but it would behoove the Devils to beat UA today and remove all doubt. ASU has 4 RPI Top 25 wins, plus Hawaii, Utah, and true bubble team Ohio. That's 7 Top 50 wins, with one loss outside that range (still to an above-100 team). That blows away the bubble. They just needed to avoid disaster v WSU last week and beating UCLA was going above-and-beyond. All true. I just have a funny feeling about getting a tenth team into the tournament. Or maybe it's just gas.

Lose to Oregon - then they will have an RPI similar to Michigan State and several other bubble teams (40's). They will have lost their last 3 and 4 of their last 5. They will have also lost a H2H with Michigan State.

They will have also lost a H2H with Michigan State. They'll still be on the right side of the RPI-line (they're 35 this week, and with adjustments theyøll be at least 5 spaces above Michigan St.), have FIVE Top 50 wins (no bubble team has more), no losses outside the Top 50 (only Pacific can say this among bubble teams; most bubble teams also have sub-100 losses), #21 SOS, and have the H2H over Pacific. The record towards the end of season reflects playing 5 consecutive Top 25 teams at the end. They'll finish the season 4-6 in their last 10, that's not disqualifyingly bad. If Oregon St. doesn't get in, then the Committee didn't do its job.

There should also be consideration for teams who have not been in the tournament before, or in a while. It would be a shame for OSU to take this huge step and STILL miss out, especially in favor of teams who have made it in from the cusp before.
