I thought Hawaii recruited highly regarded Redondo Union HS setter Norene Losia for 2015?

Higgins is the scapegoat this season... I get it. I truly disagree with the statement that "Hawai'i is not a good a ball club". Inconsistent, yes. Bad, no way. Floor defense lacked for a set and a half, UCR was catching every cover off the UH block. I say Turkey Hangover.

3rd game was 25-14 4th game was 25-15
Clearly, Hawaii was looking right past 2-24 Riverside to Davis tomorrow. I expect them to come out livelier tomorrow.

Here's to hoping we can get a transfer setter, Higgins set locations..... There are no words. Get a transfer with one year eligibility, then wait for Iosia. Higgins looks the same that she did against ASU, which is not good.

Yes, definitely agreed Hawai`i is not a bad team...but really inconsistent. Hawai`i fans just expect perfection year in and year out and when the team struggles it automatically equates to Hawai`i being a bad team. This team lacks experience, leadership and volleyball IQ thats where the inconsistencies come from. Remember there are over 300 teams in Division I and yet the Wahine are still on the cusp of one of the top 25 teams in the country so I would not translate that into being a bad team. There is just no experience and volleyball IQ on this team compared to years past. Key example tonight Tai Manu-Olevao getting solo-blocked by a 5' 6 outside hitter. There is no reason Tai should have hit that ball into that block, she did not look to see where her blocker was and she just swung away...when the angle was clearly open. Hawai`i fans just needs to stop expecting perfection year in and year out as there will be years that the Wahine will struggle due to the lack of experience as it is not easy to maintain a top program year in year out every program has at least one year where they struggle and use it to rebuild. I'm sure there are many programs out there that would love to experience the success that the Wahine have experienced this season despite this season being one of the Wahine's worse seasons.

The wahine looked like they were just going through the motions for the early part of the match--like they had a flashback to their WAC days when going through the motions used to work because too many times WAC teams would oblige the Wahine by rolling over to play dead for them.
On the other hand. credit Riverside for playing the best I've ever seen them play. They were going for their serves, digging everything, and taking good swings. The strategy of just keeping the ball in play seems to work against the Wahine.
The Wahine hasn't really improved this season as a team. I can point to a couple players and say they've definitely progressed during the season; but I can't say that about every starter or the team as a whole and that's depressing. This team has definitely underperformed this year.

Not as bad as expectations go compared to SC this year and the level of talent Mick was able to recruit. However, every team in the Pac 12 looks like they could win the Big West. With rule changes that allow college stipends to be paid to athletes, prize recruits will continue to flock around the $$$ and BCS schools.... (sigh).....

Not a pretty win but still a win by the Wahine! I saw on OC Sports TV that there is a Men's BB game on when tomorrow's match with UC Davis is going on. I would hope that would be an error on the Schedule.
