I agree - no matter how good a 15s team there is, you just wouldn't be successful keeping them all together in the Big Ten - no club team is that good. I don't know about that.......they were talking about three or four potential players not a whole team. I have seen a couple club teams that a lot of school in the PAC and B1G would have loved to have scored 3 or four players from one team. For example TAV 18 2013 team had Ebony Nwanebu, Chiaka Ogbogu, Jordan Anderson, and a couple others that are on D1 teams in power 5 conferences.
I am not saying this happens regularly, but that same year NL 18 had Whilhite, Tapps twins, SSS, and Groeher.

I've heard Sheehan is a difficult player to coach. Jaz Martin has a higher ceiling. Haven't seen this CC McGraw play.
Anyway, I haven't lost faith in Hugh yet. I actually have a feeling the Gophers are going to be really good this year.

I'd ask Sheehan's high school coach, MN Select coach Scott Jackson and then her Lights coaches Walt Weaver and Adam Beamer. I've heard the opposite and wherever she goes they win! I also think Jaz Martin has a high ceiling. Really improving this year over last.

Couple questions:
Do the Gophers have any more scholarships available for this coming year?
Any word on Toni Alugbue lately? Do we still have her for this fall? If so, I wonder when the Gophers will announce her.
Anyone with insight on Taylor Morgan and how she is doing with her recovery? Hoping she is completely up to speed come this fall.

I count 12 for 2015 with Alugbue and Morgan, but who knows? Sometimes players don't have 4 years who you think have 4 years.
It's my understanding Toni is finishing the year at Notre Dame and coming here for grad school.

I heard it from another coach and they weren't as nice about how they said it. and you're a little prick who wants to talk second hand trash about a 16 year old. How pathetic.

Have a feeling that Autumn Bailey might end up at Minnesota. It was reported today that she will be at Michigan State.

Any video of gopher matches from Japan? Yes and no. No live video or extended post match video of play, at least from what I am aware of. On the Gophers blog, they have a couple of player interviews and then at the end of those videos there are some short video clips of the Gophers playing Japan. Not great quality, but better than nothing. From what I can tell, they used Schau, Handley, and Swenson at setter and gave most players at least some playing time. (That's what we are all wondering about, right?) Really had to squint to glean even this much information, though, lol.

Gophers are going after Jaz Martin and Brynn Carlson pretty hard right now. Those two have alot of potential. Martin holds offers from some very good schools though, so we'll see how that goes. I'm still optimistic about the Gophers chances with those two.

I haven't been able to see NL16-1's play this season. Is Carlson a middle or outside? It would be nice if MN could get Martin. Maybe having SSS set her for the last two years in HS will work in their favor.
