Just read that Maddie Haggerty is transferring out of Nebraska. She would be a solid transfer to pick up! Good ball control and a heavy arm! Which one of the Haggerty sisters is she? I lose track (based on first name). She is the middle sister who has played a lot of right side and outside. Molly (the younger of the 3) is an outside who will probably be top 10/15 in 2016, and Meghan was a MB in the 2012 class

How strong is Maddie Haggerty's overall game? It's been a while since I've seen clips of her playing.

Isn't Maddie coming off major shoulder surgery that limited her playing time and forced her to red-shirt? I don't think Jerritt should go after someone who may put Texas in the same situation Tiffany Baker has....

Looks like everything is set for Friday's match with SMU. Should be fun.
************************************************ Join Texas Athletics on Friday, April 3, for the first-ever Texas Volleyball Ticket Relocation and Upgrade Event (TRUE) at Gregory Gym. We designed this day with you in mind, so be ready for a party atmosphere featuring a tour of the brand new Volleyball Player Development Center, photos with the 2014 Big 12 Championship trophy, and more.
In addition, season ticket members can see available seats in Gregory Gym configuration, and then have the opportunity to add on, upgrade or change seat locations. If you choose to relocate or upgrade seats at this time, your personal service consultant will complete the transaction in the arena.
Your Volleyball TRUE appointment time: 1:30
At your assigned appointment time, check-in at the entrance of Gregory Gym. The Texas Athletics service team will direct you and hand out an instruction card with more information on the day's activities. Please RSVP by Monday, March 30.
Food and beverages are available.
Stay after the event and cheer on Texas Volleyball in an exhibition match vs. SMU at 6 p.m. Admission to the match is free.
Parking is available in both the Speedway and Brazos garages. ************************************************

How strong is Maddie Haggerty's overall game? Maddie is incredibly well-rounded, has a ridiculously heavy arm... if it has fully healed from her senior year of high school. She's not up at 10'6" like some of the great attackers, but her mechanics, power, and wrist control allow her to attack any spot on the court. Her best skill might be her passing (or, at least, it was; I don't imagine that skill gets worse in Cook's gym). She was the #18 recruit in 2014.

Not so much as a senior. If she's fully recovered, she'll be an asset anywhere she goes. However, shoulder surgeries are hard to come back from, and she's been out for a while.

Maddie is a splendid passer! She played superbly in the Red-White scrimmage as a defensive specialist for Kelsey, similar to the way Kadie was used in her first scrimmage while she was recovering from an injury that had occurred earlier in the summer. Re: her attacking, I actually think Olivia and Alicia hit the ball harder than she does.
Regardless, she'll be a great addition to any team that needs better passers and a formidable attack.

As I mentioned this weekend, that was the rumor posted on another message board. I'm really surprised that the announcement came this soon. Perhaps the next official announcement will be regarding Tiffany Baker's medical redshirt (especially with the volleyball scrimmage coming this Friday). And, that would mean one open scholarship for 2015 if the right player decides to come . . .
