I was busy walking across the Mississippi today (it took about 45 seconds, giving me time for today's entry).
I dont have much for 13 DAYS UNTIL THE SEASON STARTS!
TYPICALLY the Badgers have 13 home matches. This year it is 15!
Haleigh Nelson does not have triskaidectaphobia. She is the only AA to wear #13.

The past two seasons they have had 15 home matches, courtesy of being seeded in the tourney. If we're seeded again this year, it'll be 17. Same next year, when I relieve it will be our turn to host B1G/ACC. Mary Ording wore 13 before Haleigh. It's a lucky number in her family.

You are correct about the last two seasons; I was referring to regular season only. Sadly I will miss a number of home matches this year due to conflicts and travel.
So who is the middle to take Nelson 's number in 2017?

12 DAYS UNTIL THE SEASON STARTS!
I Couldn't come up with much...but All Americans to wear #12 are Jenny Maastricht and Taylor Reineke.
New player this year wearing #12 is Saunders.

So who is the middle to take Nelson 's number in 2017? Rettke? Free numbers in 2016: 6, 8, anything above 15. Free numbers in 2017: 1, 2, 10, 13.

that video is great. i'm very happy to be a badger. they rock, on fleek OK...I'm too busy to keep up, and I'm too old to worry about embarrassing myself. What's with the "on fleek" bidness? I thought at first it was a typo... Sounds like an anglification of something in french...like my sister writing Shock Lay Blue when she was 6.

11 DAYS UNTIL THE SEASON STARTS!
11 is the top number of the amplifier for Spinal Tap! (speaking of getting old)
It is also the increase in wins from the 2012 season to the 2013 season. 28-10 vs 17-16.

The 1998 PSU vs Nebraska semi final at the Kohl Center was the 14th highest attendance for volleyball. How many were in attendance? From last years Record Book for Wis (Top 25 All-Time National Match Attendances) Atten. Match Date 17. 13,194 NCAA Championship, Madison, Wis. 12-19-98 18. 13,081 Cal Poly vs. Creighton, Omaha, Neb. 9-2-07 19. 13,048 NCAA Semifi nals, Sacramento, Calif. 12-13-07 20. 12,504 Nebraska vs. Colorado, Lincoln, Neb. 11-4-00 21. 12,327 NCAA Semifinals, Madison, Wis. 12-17-98 I have no idea how many were in Oklahoma, I cannot find that info anywhere, the only attendance from NCAA has not been updated since 2012 www.ncaa.org/championships/statistics/womens-volleyball-attendanceAs for me, the only attendance I care about at this moment will be this coming Saturday when my families 4 butts are parked in a seat watching the Cardinal/White Scrimmage. Getting itchy and antsy here

Any rumblings as to who the Badgers are recruiting for 2018? I am assuming that middles are high on the list.

And probably Haley Warner (RS from Arkansas) just because it seems like everybody and their mother is recruiting her.

So we can all point to her and say "This one goes to 11!" I don't know if she is "one louder" though. (So we old people have our own phrases that the players don't understand either) Probably Amy Bladow and KT tie as the "biggest characters to wear #11." (I keep adding features to the countdown as you can see)

By contrast last year this time, 3 spots in the 2017 class were claimed and a fourth committed in October. I wonder if there is an effort by Shef to slow the early recruiting? Top talent is taking longer to commit? Or the rise of transfer opportunities puts a premium on playing it slow & staying flexible?
