What do you mean? Haven't heard anything that would lead me to believe she's not around. I think that question is because she wasn't in the most recent image posted above. Maybe she was taking the pic?

Maybe she was taking the pic? That was my assumption. EJ is not on Twitter, so it makes sense that she'd have taken it and sent it to Dilly to tweet.

In case anyone missed the 2014 Under Armour AA game: Quoting myself because I'm awesome, finally watched a game that was 2 months ago, and there are like 3 users in this thread so whatever. A few questions/observations: - Do we think Brooke Morgan would have been an AA had she not been hurt this season? It's kind of funny to imagine how it coulda been 5 Wisconsin recruits playing for the East (did Texas have 3 for the West?). Based on experience advantage, MB arsenal is 1) Nelson 2) Blake 3) Williams 4) Morgan. Totally not mad about that.
- MacDonald is a feisty little one although she had a few goofy shanks; it will be interesting to see her develop alongside Morey this season (and if Smith develops well as a DS).
- I get that the teams have very little time to prepare and develop chemistry, but I'd like to see what Duello and Williams can do with better passing (fingers crossed) and a great setter. A-D-D side note: Regarding passing--I re-watched the UW/PSU QF and Deme had a not-so-good match which I attribute to PSU being PSU and Deme being new(er) to her role. That said, Dem gets a pass because she's Deme and she also makes Frank the Tank happy. So. Many. Over. Passes.
- Many mentioned before, but Duello was oddly utilized. It was funny to hear Sheff say "we're gonna work on that passing," but also nice for him to praise her for that athletic kill. I THINK she'll end up having a decent season and maybe match or surpass Ellen's contribution? Wish for Frantti-like? Maybe I'm wrong there, but Bates (#1) and Fric will also bring it.
- Tionna looked comfortable in set 3; she does have great speed and grit (we'll miss you, Dom), but it was also funny seeing her get so much back row time. I hope she has a monster season because we need it. I'm hoping she's like H. Washington without the intense faces and injury, ha.
- M. Foecke is scary in many forms of the word, but Sheff was right: She's going to be the real deal for Nebraska and they'll eventually have her, Holman, the twins, Haggerty family members for days, etc.
- As discussed, Sheff would like to RS Hannah; so funny to hear Karch make a Carlini joke #Lori. I can't wait to see where Hilley's game is at by her senior season and eventual competition for PT with Juley. I've also done a rain dance to have Hilley grow to at least 6'1" (not that it matters), but her all-around game is sick for her age and I only want her to get better.
- I still feel like the 2015-2016 team is missing something, but it seems more intangible and they haven't even played together yet. Maybe that just means missing Thomas? Sure.

I think the intangible is going to be missing Thomas. It's going to take some time for the team to gel, no matter what their talent level. And with Williams having apparently been injured, that will affect things, as at the very least she will be missing some club ball.
Regarding the deleted tweet, I guess not all parties were in agreement, or something. But interesting if it is Colgate, as the assistant there was I believe Sheffield's first assistant coach at Dayton (for one year...) after he coached her at SUNY-Albany. I'm sure others can chime in with more information.

I think the teams of the last two years had a whole is better than the sum of the parts chemistry that will be very hard to replace. Also, you have to expect growing pains with so many new players on the roster and in the lineup. I am excited that they will be opening at home, though. I had a great time in Minneapolis last year, but not having to make a trip to see the opener would be great. It has been a long time.

Yes...and I like the idea of playing smaller programs initially to get our feet under us although WKU can be tricky. It will take a while for this team to gel given so little spring practice for many of the players. I don't know for sure, but I have a feeling we will see a fair bit of Blake and Fricano to provide a little bit of maturity at first. The frosh will be mixed in slowly at the very beginning - one or two at a time on the court.
Do they typically publish the OOC schedule before the full schedule? I can't remember.

So it's a real chance for Blake and Fricano to establish themselves early in the year.

I can't remember. Yes, the Hilltoppers are a solid program. IIRC, they publish the OOC schedule first, then shore up the Big Ten schedule. I am actually more interested in the Big Ten schedule as I will be in Indiana again in November. I am hoping they play somewhere in the state that weekend. If not, I will probably travel to a match this year elsewhere.

So it's a real chance for Blake and Fricano to establish themselves early in the year. I hope Fricano gets an opportunity to play early. She has been almost none existent so far and I really thought she was a good front row player during junior and senior club seasons. I think I asked about a year ago if she got injured or redshirted, but I forgot.

Duello has a lot of work ahead of her. She did not look to great from what i saw from the UA game. She's physical, but I don't see her being too crafty with her shots. I think she was over rated, she was rated as number 9th I think she should have been somewhere in the 20s. Carly Skjodt (committed to Michigan) played 10x better than Duello and Skjodt was ranked 22.

To be frank, Duello's passing was atrocious, but I'll reserve final judgment until we see her in the first few NC games. I think Bates' grit and all-around game grew VERY nicely throughout the season so I'm glad she's on the left. I'm very happy she's a part of this team and I look to her to be a floor leader, too. I agree, Skjodt looked good.

I understand this, i agree but also disagree. I think at the HS level, Skjodt is more effective and a better all-around player. But Duello is much more physical at 6'3 with a 30 inch vertical and a huge arm, she has the potential to be a big asset at the next level. I'm not sure Carly can dominate / terminate at the next level on a consistent level. Duello is not a 6 rotation player, I agree. And she may never need to be.
