Wow it took Long Beach State 5 games. I'm hoping I get to see Gordon bang away at least one time this season.

I really like tOSU this year. They are my favorite non-Wisconsin big ten team... Minnesota is a close third.
Stacey Gordon should, and probably will, be AVCA POY

Agreed... she had a killer match today too... I just think Stacey G brings more to the table in terms of passing, defense, and serving.. Both are good blockers, and can hit the hell out of the ball... Ogonna is helped by being on a better team though.

Ogonna is helped by being on a better team though. At this point, that is debatable...

Yeah, I was pretty surprised to see Stanford lost a game to Western Kentucky in the "battle of the teams with strange looking mascots" today. Both are great players, but I would give the advantage to Gordon, based on what I have seen in the past, because she is a stronger server and back row player.

in 2001 it was Nnamani and Gordon who battle for the first AVCA freshman of the year award and Gordon won and now they are the frontrunners for this year POY. Both team will have to go deep in the tournament for either one to have a chance to win the POY award

Ogonna is a better blocker but Stacy has her in the back row. I always Nnamani was a more consistent hitter but Stacy has really surprised me this year in her percentage!
