I'll admit to being churlish, but Stanford's class of 2016 has a track record.

I don't think Megan Courtney is as consistent as those ladies you listed... but do I think she's a Big Match Player... Absolutely and I want her on my team every time she finds a way to put to ball down no matter the set location. She barely did that once all season. Y'all even watch their team?

Listen I am not a coach or an expert on any of this, but that young woman can hit any spot on the floor with remarkable consistency. Again, hasn't happened the past three seasons until the final four this year, but I'm sure you know something the rest of us don't.

PSU will win it all again in 2015.

Stanford has to be pre-season #1 next year. YUP and Texas should be preseason #2 and PSU will win it all again.

Probably unanimous agreement with you, so probably no more need for you to keep proving it.

Not at all beachbomb.....I quoted bigfan on his first part of the sentence because on a previous post he was bitching about Texas again so I thought his post was perfect to quote. He just happened to be responding to you. I too like Courtney, I think she is a great, but under-appreciated player. I wished she played for Texas.

Isn't one starter enough? Don't be greedy.

Wake me up when it's August!

I don't get LHN so I only saw a few Texas matches over the season. I was a Prieto Cerame fan and was sorry she left but pleased for her that she was able to transfer to a top program. What was your impression of her play over the course of the season?

Nah, Jerritt would have Carlini playing middle blocker...

What was your impression of her play over the course of the season? It took her a little while to get acclimated and Elliot played with the line up so much she was not a true regular until about 1/3 of the way into the season, but she improved each match by end of season was a great addition. I think she will have an even better season next year as she will become a bigger option with the graduation of Bell and Eckerman. She seemed like a great teammate as well and always had a big smile.

Stanford has to be pre-season #1 next year. It was silly to make PSU pre-season #1, The way Stanford crowed over beating #1 Penn State at the beginning of the year, when the Lions were breaking in two freshmen, didn't have their top recruit Washington, and had lost three All-Americans, was a way over-the-top response. Frankly, they might have wanted to curb their enthusiasm and feel somewhat chagrined after having Penn State take them to 5 on their home court, especially since they had such an experienced team. First of all, it certainly was NOT silly to make PSU preseason #1. They were defending national champion, recruit as well or better than anyone in nation, and have the best coach. It would be silly not to have PSU preseason #1 every year. Yes, granted, since their team is full of top-10 recruits, then each year they will lose top players. But since they always have other top players to step in, plus RR to coach them, they should be #1, at least until someone dethrones them. And I'm curious to know who on Stanford was crowing? Was it their coach, or one of their players? Please give specifics, unless you are just making it up, which I am guessing is the case. And why should anyone feel chagrined at beating Penn State? Are you saying they aren't a worthy opponent? Every team is adjusting at beginning of season, not just PSU. But any Russ Rose team loaded with top players is going to be good, and no one should feel "chagrined" at beating them. Next year PSU should absolutely be preseason #1, as defending champion and machine fully in operation. Still have RR, still have team loaded with top talent.
