Agreed. The fact that Haggerty is going to Wisconsin is a little depressing. How many outside hitters does one team need? Who knows maybe she will transfer to Illinois when carlini graduates and if she's a bench warmer

Who knows maybe she will transfer to Illinois when carlini graduates and if she's a bench warmer Highly doubt she will be riding the bench unfortunately. Hoping that these 2016 recruits prove me wrong and show that they are capable of playing B1G volleyball. Sucks that we didn't get either Lexi Hart nor Haggerty. But I'm going to trust Hambly and his coaching skills.

I think Carlini is the main reason why Wisconsin is brining in such good players. Once Carlini is out of the picture I'm not sure hoe Wisconsin will look. I think Naya will do a good job for us. I think she'll give us a lot of kills, not sure about the blocks. But I think Poulter will get more blocks than Lexi would so I think it will even out. I'm just worried about this team when Birks graduates, Illini need an all around player. that's why I really wanted Haggerty.

Naya was really good at Oregon. 2016 will have to bring in a dynamic and elite outside.

I did hear that Kaylin Korte is gonna be ranked pretty high next year. That's always good to hear. I know she plays backrow, so maybe she can replace Birks? I'm thinking Illini will need to transfer in a OH that has experience and has leadership.

Possibly someone from Texas or Wisconsin, since there are a lot of outsides flowing through both those programs.

Congrats to Wisconsin, fantastic get for them. I had assumed Korte would be in the back row but I've not seen her play. I do think Strizak will step up this year, I'm excited to see her compete, thought she showed flashes of her talent last year just needs to be more consistent.

I'm a big fan of Strizak, I think the consistency is somewhat there but I think she needs to dominate a little more. Her hits seem to be picked up fairly easily. Also I think she needs to work on hitting out of system sets. I think she could do good for this Illini team in the next two years. She just needs to be more of a leader and hopefully learn how to play backrow.

Hambly stated that he thinks Korte is one of the top three outside hitters in her class. Have not seen her play, but that's high praise indeed. Prince reminds me of Bartsch and should have an excellent career at Illinois. I'm more concerned about finding another strong middle in 2016 or 2017.

Not sure how highly rated she is.

I thin next season out middles are going to be a lot more productive on the offensive side. Lex did not set middles much, and by watching Poulter she loves setting the middles. IMO I think she's more comfortable setting the middles more than OH. Hopefully Korte can do some good for Ilini, she is 6 foot, but if she can jump high and is smart we got a good player.

I highly doubt that players will transfer from WI to IL because of the intra-conference transfer penalty.

Is there an issue with Hambly recruiting Chicago? This is not a complaint, just a question. Lots of great recruits from other areas, but none from Chicago since Lexi and Birks, and none for the foreseeable future.

Illinois had pride and joy having in state talent on their team in 2011 when they were going for that run in the tournament. But I think they're just running out of luck I know they were recruiting Ali Frantti and Molly Haggerty both not going their ways. It's hard now a days were kids aren't care to play for their home state.
