Heard Missry is being contacted by UCLA and a couple other schools out West. Not too shabby

Long Island is a legitimate team. They play hard, are athletic and very good defensively. Dylan Missry #12 is their workhorse, he takes probably about 90% of their shots. If you can stop him they are beatable. His passing is suspect on the back row, but his hitting definitely makes up for that. They have a decent oppo, and second middle. If you shut Dylan down though, they have a hard time running their offense. Don't misunderstand though, they are a very strong team. The thing I like about them is their intensity and excitement. Oh, and they are from the EAST COAST. --spoke with some of the parents from balboa and 949 after their game and sensed the plan was to shut down Dylan--Balboa team indicated that LI came out not going to Dylan at first and the others seemed to surprise them - OP, MB and 2nd OH. In addition, didn't sound like they had much success shutting down Dylan --curious as to how SCVC defended him. regardless--looking forward to a competitive weekend from MW and East coast teams-we're in for some great volleyball this weekend across all age groups.

Really? That hurts MVC's chances of qualifying by a lot. Hypothetically, they still could because there is 6 bids and Baja will be declining and Ultimate & Hitmen already have bids, so all they have to do is come in the top 9. Still hard to do without your best hitter. If he was just a little bit taller, he probably would be the top recruit in 2017. MVC 16 is very deep this year even without Plaisted. They will be a factor on Monday.

Can those going to the Chicago qualifier and tweeting this weekend use hashtag #BWVC so we all can keep up on the tournament?

Adversity 15's lost, they were the #3 seed and now they are out of the gold bracket with no chance of getting a bid

Looks like Baja has a much tougher route to the finals than HPSTL in the 18 gold bracket.

Yeah MVC went 0-3 today. Really suprising.
They will probably get a bid in St. Louis now.

In the 18s division, eight teams left in the winners side of the Gold Bracket. Of those eight two teams will decline their bids (Baja and Pakmen) and two already had their bids (Coastal and HPSTL Royal) which means the other four teams have earned their bids (SPVB Runbird, Ocean Bay Quicksilver, MVC, Ultimate). Two more bids left for seven teams who lost in the first round of Gold (SPVB Mizunco already had a bid). So who is going to get the last two bids? Cincinnati Attack, HPSTL Orange, Ocean Bay Waves, NVC, Chicago Elite, Vortex, or Ultimate Blue?

Why do Baja and Pakmen not accept the bids?
