What's going on with all the SDSU transfers? Who's going to be their next setter now that they don't have any setters on the roster?

DCP is one tough cookie.

SDSUs website has Sarah Metcalfe a transfer from Chicago State. Hopefully she'll be a great addition to the team.

SDSU seems to be competing with Tennessee and Middle Tennessee State to see who can have the most transfers out in a season. 5 underclassmen leaving plus a senior setter quitting midseason is a little worrisome for any program.

Maybe it is peer pressure from San Jose State?

I'm guessing. DCP was one of the most fiercest competitors of all time. As a player, she willed her team to win. Not by talk, but by action. She values fierceness in her players. If you are not able to get on her program, then my guess is, she will look for players who are. With Dietre you know what to expect. She is old school in that respect. In the formidable years of NCAA Women's collegiate volleyball, Dietre was a superstar. Humble, Highly Skilled and a tenacious fighter. That's what she wants for her players.

Hmmm.
2 of her three 2014 recruits have already jumped ship. It seems a stretch to think that 6 players left this season because of their own personality/athletic traits not living up to their coach's expectations.

Perhaps. I'm sure both sides have to find a fit they both can live with. Being at a young age, there may be individual reasons why a player leaves a program. It could be academic or personal and possibly team related. I only commented on DCP's goal to turn SDSU into a winning program.

Eckenrode took the reverse path of Lindsey Noll, who transfered to SDSU from Missouri ten years ago.

SDSU now has 3 new setters. A transfer from Div. 1 Chicago State (sophomore), A Community College transfer (junior), and in incoming freshman. Does anyone know anything about these 3 new setters? Who will be the starter?
