I am hoping that the Big West powers can revive their programs to a level that they were at in previous years. UCSB, UOP, and LBSU have so much tradition and impact throughout the course of college volleyball it would be sad to see their programs stay at the level they are at right now. UCSB actually had a pretty good season last year. It's just UOP and LBSU I am worried about.

That's why I want CB to choose The Beach.
The more the talent is spread around, the better it is for the sport.

Having a lot of Fab 50 players on the team has frequently not turned into a high level of conference and tournament success for UCLA.
For the 2003 season they did much better than expected, especially early on when they were taking teams by surprise.
It will be interesting to see how they do if they don't have the same level early success in 2004 since teams won't be overlooking them because of the number of young players on the team.
I won't be surprised to see the Pac 10 conference champion for the 2004 season to have a record number of losses with so something like half the conference (Washington, Stanford, Arizona, USC, UCLA) having viable shots at taking the championships. Cal even without Mia Jerkov ought to a strong team as well.
Who knows what type of teams will be fielded by Arizona State, Oregon State, Washington State and Oregon for 2004?
It ought to be an interesting season in the Pac 10 for 2004.
