Kekoagoldenbear, thanks for posting your observations. Hopefully, Siki fully recovers from his injury soon. I'm sure that Sedore will turn around his game and get out of whatever funk he seems to be in this week. Also glad to see that Fey stepped up his offense this match. Fey gets a lot of criticism for his offense (just like Olsen got last year). A lot of the criticism is justified but he's a role player who's in the starting lineup more because of his defense than what he can do offensively (again just like Olsen last year). Everybody knows that it's how well the trio of Averill, Sedore and Zarkovik can play that will dictate how far this team can go. I'm hoping to see Holt and Fey get more sets this upcoming series......Pepperdine will be keying in on Averill, Sedore, and Zarkovic......which potentially opens the door for those other two guys to increase their offensive production potentially. Who ever serves and passes the best in this series......will win. Hopefully Zarkovic and Fey keeps up their passing game because I was truly impressed with them over the weekend. As I mentioned earlier, Hawaii is set on that line-up with great back-ups in Jones, Mol and Hartley, although Hartley didn't play much. Zarkovic's offensive output struggled all weekend (in his defense, he clearly was the only option on those dead plays), but his overall game to me is impressive and him being in the line-up helps Hawaii.

Before Saturday's match Fey was hitting .200 for the year, that's just not going to get it done if UH wants to win it all. Just because he's the fourth option does not mean UH should settle for that, especially when they have a 5th year senior champing at the bit and hitting close to .300.

I would have to agree with your about his offensive output. However, aside from Zarkovic, Fey did take majority of the serves on Friday and was impressed by both and that's why Hawaii was able to run its middle attack both nights. I'm sure Zarkovic struggled on Friday offensively because he took majority of the serves (I'm sure they were targeting him) and I was impressed by his all around game. Fey is there because he helps neutralize the passing and it has done well for Hawaii. Mol did impress me offensively on Saturday despite only taking like 3 or 4 swings.
