When I was going to camps my personal favorite was the Marv Dunphy Pepperdine Camps. Most of the courts are outside on the baseball field but it was great to be in Malibu learning from the best. Excellent...my daughter opted for the Sports performance Setter 1 Academy (she a repeat customer) and Pepperdine.

Since you are just asking for General opinions of camps people have attended, here are some thoughts: USC: Mick Haley is constantly circulating and actively involved in the camp. His and his family's level of commitment are obvious and shared by the rest of the coaching staff that are there. The vast majority of the team is there to help and I am very impressed at how well it is run. My daughters have improved and enjoy attending. We will go again this year. Stanford: Was great to see the campus again and show the girls around to give them a feel for the school... Girls enjoyed their time there, a lot of the team was there helping and mentoring. Coach and staff gave some interesting talks. Solid camp. Be up at 1201AM when enrollment opens because it fills up (you are too late now). Feel USC was a better experience. Texas: Interesting to see the city of Austin. Interesting group of people they assembled to "coach" the groups of girls. Some were in groups where the women coaching them attended different schools for other sports. Coach addressed the crowd a couple of times. Girls got to stay in the dorms. Check-in process was pretty disorganized. Was fine. Would we go again? Not even if we lived in Austin.
Remember opinions of others only are valuable if you and the giver have the exact same situation/outlook etc.

I have heard great things about Penn St.'s camp and we will attend one summer. But University Park airport is not exactly filled with west coast non stops If we are allowing hearsay, we have also heard that Nebraska puts on an exceptional camp with the setters getting tons of touches and instruction.

Have been to many of the camp sessions that Russ Rose runs called Volleyball Express. Lots of talent shows up there and the staff is very experienced. Well worth the money and time in my view

Is Marv Dunphy's camp worthwhile? From my experience yes but its pretty expensive. I went to every bit of camp from start to finish (out of position most of the time) to make it worth while.
