I think John sticks with her and Merete once Lutz returns

Wow, look at those hitting percentages for the Huskies. With dominance like that, you would think they were playing Portland State, Boise State, and Gonzaga.

It's a snapshot. The next one might give a different picture. UW, playing Buffalo and Murray State, will still likely be at or near the top.

I seriously contemplated taking off work Friday to go to that afternoon match, but I don't think I can justify it. I suspect a scrimmage would be more competitive. Never know, though.

I need to go over to the Ticket Office anyway to get my Husky Gold Card ($40 for the Senior/Youth card). Might as well stay to catch a match.

Her monster stats?? I am a Stanford fan, and nothing about Alix's career would I refer to as monster. She was good, and she had good stats, but nothing about it was monster. Her senior year Klineman hit about .370 + 6.5 pps. Those are monster stats for an OH. Looking at the Pac 12 archives, a Stanford player won POW five times in 2010, more than double any other school. And Stanford wasn't even the best team in the conference. I think the Card have gotten plenty o' love from whoever selects POW. Correction, those are generational defining stats for an OH. You can count on one hand how many OH's in the last 20 years are even close to being that productive and that efficient.

I cant remember any OH in history scoring that often and efficiently.

I can't believe saywho doesn't believe that Klineman's stats are monstrous, they are.

I cant remember any OH in history scoring that often and efficiently. I remember one match in Hec Ed (Nov 2010) when the Huskies almost took Stanford to a fifth set but ended up losing in 4. At the end of the fourth set, every Stanford set went to Klineman. Everyone in the gym knew it was going to her, but she still kept getting kills. That's pretty much the definition of "putting the team on your back". She just kept getting kills until finally Stanford won 26-24. She "only" hit 0.302 and 6.0 kps in that match, but I think she did win POW that week. Stanford hit for 0.436 in that fourth set. (The match scores were 21-25, 26-24, 25-22, 26-24.) www.nmnathletics.com//ViewContent.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=30200&CONTENT_ID=755141

In 25 point rally I don't think anyone's come close to Klineman while playing in a quality conference.

If anything, the more competitive matches would have provided her more swings. That said, Klineman's numbers are very impressive. Too bad for us she chose the Farm over the Islands. Tom too for that matter.
