She mentioned in a post on instagram after the first or second game that she "re-injured" it but was playing through the pain. So I think she has some recovery to do now but was willing to play through it to win the championships.

Fun to watch her play in Korea this season. She looked like she loved it there. Wonder if she will play in Korea again next year?

Destinee came back from her initial injury about a month ago, but she got injured again in the first match of the best-of-five championship series against Fawcett's team. It was during the penultimate point of the first match when she landed on a teammate's foot and injured her ankle again. As she laid on the court in pain, the ref stopped the game, but she got back up, not wanting to get subbed out, and she came back and scored match point in the next rally! Her team, IBK Altos, ended up winning all three championship matches against Expressway, and she was crowned league MVP. IMO she made the right choice going back to Korea after her pregnancy. KOVO is notorious for whipping players into shape with incredibly long days of conditioning. However, now that she's back to full form, I anticipate she'll play professionally in Brazil next year. Rexona and Solly's are in a bidding war for her, and the money will be twice as nice as her pay in Korea.

Karch would be absolutely nuts not to find a way to get her back on the team.

I also would like to see her in Rio. I sure hope Karch changes his mind. The world will be shocked.
On the other hand, she looks good; I don't see any prior injuries.. :-P Ha ha..

Someone like Hill could become a passing RS. It's not inconceivable. Not sure if Hooker's attacks from the left are that much more effective than from the right tho.

I saw her first college match, where her team crushed Wisconsin, unfortunately, and my reaction to her hitting has remained the same since then, "holy *&$#%*&^# she is dominant." I hope she is doing well and is back in top form to help the US team in 2016.

Karch would be absolutely nuts not to find a way to get her back on the team. I really don't think that is going to happen, and I think that is really unfortunate for all involved. Team, her, fans!

Agreed. Ironically, winning the World Championship obscures the fact that USA almost didn't qualify for the final round, and supports the argument by some that there's no need to re-examine the roster.

If you are a Fawcett fan, you probably don't want to watch this.
