The middle part of AAUs should get stronger and stronger, i.e. the second and third seeds in pools, because I think more clubs will go to AAUs if they don't get in Open at Junior Nationals.

On another message board there have been parents posting all season long this is possibly the most complete, dominating TAV 18s team ever. TStreet should be stronger if one of their OHs recovers from surgery before Nationals. LOL........what do you expect from parents. TAV 2013 has been the strongest TAV 18s team in the last decade to date IMO. They dominated and won Nationals and it was not close in the finals.
Chi Ogbogu MB - Texas Ebony Nwanebu RS - USC Jordan Anderson OH - WVU/UCLA Regan McGuire MB - TCU Cassidy Pickrell OH - UC Irvine Erica Bohannon RS - Tulsa Sarita Mikals OH - Houston/TCU
one of the greats, particularly in size and athleticism, but the best club team to play in the past decade was 2008 SPRI 18 Elite, IMO and many others

nationals is going to be a slug fest when all these teams meet up again. Does anyone know if any of them will be pulling double duty with AAU's and JO's? None of these teams are and very few are in general. Going through the AAU team list, here's who is qualified Open and also playing at AAUs.... 18sA5 181 A5 182 (Playing Premier at AAUs, Open at JOs) MAVA 17sNorthern Lights 16sNorthern Lights Tampa Bay VBA Both are playing in 17O at AAUs as the 16s tournaments overlap15sA5 Legacy Northern Lights Tampa Bay VBA Union A5 16s will also play at AAU's, in 18 Open...

Lanier went 28-3-43. Storm hit .442 as a team in the finals. Sickening.

of course you will, because you likely never saw them play, are from Dallas, and have a connection with TAV...

No, I simply am looking at the individual talent/game changers on both rosters. You are correct that I never saw the SPRI team play. Perhaps they were a better junior volleyball team, with great chemistry, and a well oiled machine. But IMHO, player for player, the talent off of this years TAV 18s and the one 2 seasons ago are superior.

Who was on the 2008 SPRI team? probably missing a few, but Kelly Murphy (Florida) Colleen Ward (Illinois/Florida) Michelle Kocher (Texas) Becca Zlabis (Michigan State) Christine Wu (Harvard) Megan Barnicle (Notre Dame) Gretchen Giesler (Kentucky) That team went undefeated the entire season, I think. They had a Penn State type dominance over the club circuit that season.

Agree with everything you posted except the competitive field part. Most divisions have only 3 or 4 elite level teams. But that is on the clubs for not attending. Triple Crown deserves huge Kudos from the volleyball community for producing an excellent product and leading the way in exposure, which can only grow the game. Thanks TC!

Front Range 18 Black will play in Open at both.

The thing is most USA V qualifiers only have three or four elite teams. I think Triple Crown may be the ultimate destination for 18s. You don't have to qualify but you can play you finish your season early and you can be on TV
