With USC losing two top players this offseason, is there any chance either of these players start playing indoor as well? They have both satisfied the NCAA rule of waiting two years now.

In regards to Hughes - she's a setter so there's no need for her. What USC needs is a terminator and I am not sure Claes fits that bill either.

Well they also need passing, which Hughes is plenty good at. And if you saw Claes play indoor her last year, you wouldn't say she's not a terminator. She's very physical at the net.

What was the reason for Mick's rule? Did he not want indoor players to spend Spring months on the sand game? Is he concerned they might get injured?
I think Hughes could be a good stabilizer for USC's passing game. At times Ruddins has been inconsistent in passing the ball. Based on last season I don't see Ruddins as a six rotation player unless she has improved her passing skills.

seems like the problem is Mick Haley's rule. I think both would add real depth to the USC team.

Why would either of them be interested in playing indoor?

Why would either of them be interested in playing indoor? lol - yep - Claes made that pretty clear when she cancelled her LB indoor offer and went to SC.

Why would either of them be interested in playing indoor? Agree. Eveyone plays because they love the game but it is still essentially a business at some level for the athletes. Why take on the extra travel and missed class. They are students also. What is the upside?

when Haley scored back to back no 2 recruiting classes, he make the stupid rule of not letting his players play sand Vball. Now that his back to back no.7 recruits transferred, he is willing to eat humble pie and make the exception for Plummer

Plus, if they are on sand scholarships, they can't play indoor.

Plus, if they are on sand scholarships, they can't play indoor. Kinda. It's just that their scholarships will count against the indoor max of 12. With Nwanebu transferring, that leaves at least one acholarship available (unless they get a transfer over the summer).
