More like we need to save the legs of our vets, who've had long seasons and need to be well-rested for both the WGP finals at home and the World Cup in August. You meant July ... Century Link in Omaha The World Grand Prix is in July in Omaha The World Cup in in August 22 - September 6 in Japan.

oh thank you for clarifying.
I am no expert, but is it odd to see zero digs in this game against Italy ?

When someone has a few seconds, can you tell us who's playing well for team USA or what's going on. Thanks

Terrible? Really? I'm watching some terrible volleyball here at the beach. I'm pretty sure the USA volleyball is not terrible. Maybe not playing their best but certainly no terrible.
Anyone who is not at the beach have any updates?

The level this watch was played at was not particularly high. Hill struggled big time in all phases. K Rob led with 16pts but IMO was just ok. Lowe/Kreklow started but were replaced by Thompson/Fawcett halfway through the second set. USA played better after the switch was made.
It'll be interesting to see what happens vs. Turkey tomorrow morning.

She hit more than 80 points higher than any other US hitter (including the middles).

DataVolley StatsFIVB StatsThe numbers aren't pretty. Robinson hit .176, middles combined to hit .058, opposites hit .167 (NCAA numbers). Hill hitting .267 was the bright spot although her passing wasn't great. Italy outpassed us by a wide margin (AND had fewer service errors).
