The Bruins have been switching setters between Chandler & Muno all season long. Do you know why one starts over the other... Chandler did well against the AZ schools, but Muno started this past weekend against the Oregon schools. Just curious if you know why... thanks Actually, it was way in the beginning of the season following the bad USC loss that Sealy started to stick with Chandler, which eventually led to their current win streak. To put it simply, Chandler connects 10x better with the middles over Muno, who often will primarily set shoots outside because she doesn't get the middle involved as well. It does help that Chandler played with Frager growing up, because during the beginning of the season Frager was barely getting a kill per set and had a low hitting percentage. It seems that Frager doesn't run a true 1 ball, it's just a tad bit taller which gives her extra time to get up and hit the ball at wild angles. After Chandler got injured in the Oregon match, Muno has been starting. Hope chandler will be back soon, Muno is not as consistent.

"Will UCLA be relevant?" The answer is YES! They have done more with less talent so far this year, can you imagine is Sealy is as good at recruiting as he is at coaching/ players development? I'm not drinking the kool aid just yet. They don't have a signature win and have been swept by LMU, USC, and UW. Are they overachieving? The answer could be yes, but relevant to winning the Pac-12 or the NCAA championship, then probably not.

Not to say I don't think they aren't a good team I just think they are more in the 11-16 ranks. They need to show me they can compete with the really good teams like USC and Washington and getting swept by both doesn't tell me they are for real just yet. Save the date though they play Stanford in the last game of the regular season at home. That could be a statement match for both teams heading into the NCAA tourney. All things considered though this season is a huge success. They are right in the middle of the PAC and after Lowe left not many people expected them to be competitive so good for them.

This question already seems to have been clearly answered.

UCLA should be very formidable next year. Return almost everyone and bring in a great recruiting class.

UCLA should be very formidable next year. Return almost everyone and bring in a great recruiting class. I agreed! They will have great depth at almost every position. Van Winden will enrol early and that should help her earn the starting opposite position. I think she should be a huge upgrade over Lawless. The only concern is the passing since both Inoyue and Drolson will graduate. I know they will have some back row players who are walkons but I am not sure how good they are. Will not be surprised to see Muno taking Drolson or Inoyue spot since she is a good passer and defender.

Video with Mackenzie May... I have to say she looks pretty good and Stanford definitely could've used her for 2017... Nice get by Sealy.

Nice get by Sealy. thanks for the link. she does look pretty good even though it is warmups. Like the way she approaches the ball and the power she generates. Well we all know about the legend whose last name is May and first name begins with a M. Hope this MM for UCLA will have a huge impact.

Looks like his recruiting is getting better. Mosser and May will battle for the spot vacated by Anderson. Whoever loses in that battle will wait for Buechler to graduate

Too bad he lost some of the SoCal recruits (Hodson, Plummer, Sun, Etc.) he never really have a chance with Hodson or Plummer. Those two are Stanford bound and my speculation is his relationship with T STreet is not good. Haley is the one that should feel bummed about Sun I am only pissed Sealy did not go hard for Stone. She did not have the grade for Stanford and UCLA is not even on her final 3 or 4 list
