their backrow play is pretty good, their front row play is a no for me, even with a better setter i don't think it's going to make that much of a difference.

Poor recruiting, strange line-up and game decisions...will Sealy endure it I saw AD Guerrero at the USC-UCLA match in his dapper 3 piece suit after the match and he was not happy.

Is Muno a good enough to be a setter in the Pac 12? Muno is a filler for one year until Kylie Miller arrives next year. Miller is the #1 pure setting prospect in the country and will be UCLA's setter the day she arrives.

I know her from the beach, never seen her play indoor. Tall - 6'3" or even a bit more, pretty raw volleyball-wise, good athlete who needs to get a lot stronger. I think she's got some upside for UCLA.

I'm not ... UCLA can recruit these areas if they want successfully -- Westwood looks pretty damn nice when compared to Minny and Iowa, especially throwing in the great weather and beaches. Also, from the article this quote: "One aspect of her visit made an impression. The coaching staff didn't talk a lot about winning." That clearly dovetails into what is happening currently at UCLA.

His recent preference for Muno over Chandler seems to be defense--blocking reach. It certainly doesn't appear to be because of her superior set location. Chandler is doing a better job at locating middles. So, if he is consistently biased toward size, Miller will be the setter next year. Not only has she run a 5-1, but she locates well, makes good decisions, and is more athletic: taller at 5'11", stronger, and jumps well. So, she'll be the setter. While one could maybe argue about who the top 2016 setter in the country is, Miller's package of setting skills, defense, jump serve, leadership, and pure athleticism place her above Iosia and Gray imo.

Strange, no "tradition of winning", no 2011 NC talk on a recruit visit? Am I being too harsh or does the announcement of these latest recruits arrive with a bit of scepticism with Alexa Dryer, Izzy Carmona, Kyra Rogers either invisable, or not being impressive when given the chance. Where are these players? Clearly they need speed in the middle and help on the outside. Anderson has been a good addition, but it's starting to feel like alot more misses that hits on recruits. To say that UCLA is thin would be an understatement.

Sealy should run a modified 5-1. Chandler back row and Muno front row

I believe UCLA is 9-2. The 2 losses were ugly, but 3 quality wins(tournament teams USD, LBSU and Hawaii)
Meanwhile, breaking in a raw setter(new to the position), OH1 getting acquainted with the talent level in the Pac and looking for more offense.
Not top 4 in the Pac. But probably 5-8. My guess 6 th. They will improve more than most teams and could upset a higher seed in the tourney.
Next year a great class. The coaches now have a better understanding of the recruiting wars. Future is bright.
Sealy is one of a handful of coaches that has won a NC. I'm shocked at the haters. He treats the kids with respect, doesn't yell, scream or cuss. Acts professional on the sidelines
