Being a minnesota fan and having a lot of people believe that pittman is top 10 and hart is probably top 20, where do you see mclean ending up? I'd say confidently in the 35-50 area. Pittman will be 5-10 and Hart likely in the 15ish range. Would it constitute a top 10 recruiting class under that scenario?

Who does everyone think are gonna be the top senioraces this year? I think. My predictions for top five are... 1.Kathryn Plummer- The only one in this class to have trained with the NT. Phenomenal physically gifted all around player who can perform any skill at a high level including serve recieve which is not a typical setter/opposite skill. Her beach experience only adds to her repitiore. 2. Molly Haggerty- Another physically gifted all around player. She singlehandedly destroyed teams at nationals with her cannon of an arm. The best outside in the class. Definitely a gain for Wisconsin when she decommitted. 3. Audriana Fitzmorris- Uniquely gifted all around player for a middle. She is a blocking force with a great arm. She can also play opposite only adding to her versatility as a player. 4. Norene Iosia- The best pure setter in the class. Her slightly undersized frame is made up for by her delicate touch on the ball. Great decision maker who impacts the game as shown by the fact she has been her age group national player of the year twice. 5. Lauren Stivrins- Despite not making the youth national team, I thoroughly believe Lauren is the second best middle in the class behind Audrianna. Her quickness and lighting fast arm makes her a threat on both offense and defense. I'm not sure Iosia will crack the top 5 just because of how many great middles there are in the class. I agree with Kathryn at number one as she is such a composed player and can dominate hitting and blocking wise. The power of Haggerty really impresses me. I'd say: 1. Plummer 2. Fitzmorris 3. Lanier 4. Haggerty 5. Agbaji IMO Agbaji is better than Stivrins. Haggerty/Lanier are about the same to me. Heck I would even put Agbaji above them based on her recent performance with the WJNT I think your list is as accurate as anyone might guess. Have no idea how you can go wrong with any of these fine young players. I personally see Plummer/Fitzmorris 1 and 2. They both bring a complete game and both effect a match in so many ways. I like Plummer because of her poise and leadership. She does so many things at a high level, but does them quietly, without flash. Her ability to set (her hands may be as good as anyone) at her size is a huge differentiator., but oftentimes goes unappreciated. What is fun to watch is girls who are watching her play. I witnessed at Crossroads and in New Orleans many young ladies, almost in disbelief, asking how a girl her size can move like that. Both Plummer and Fitzmorris have The most International experience in the 2016 Class. Plummer is also a World Champion in beach volleyball, so her value as a recruit to a college is exponentially higher.

So it's 99.99% sure that Stanford gets the #1 rated recruiting class in 2016. Who else makes the top 5? My Opinion: 1. Stanford- Plummer, Fitzmorris, Hentz, Gray and Keefe x2. 2. Florida- solid class with King, Kramer, Greer, and Sokolowski. 3. Texas- large number of incoming players Agbaji leading the pack along with Buckingham, Westerlund, Hahn and Rounsaville. 4. UCLA- has Van Winden, Miller, and Gates. 5. Minnesota- gets 3 solid players with Pittman, Hart, and McLean.
The only clear thing is that Stanford will get #1. I'm not sure the order of the next 4. Also, Oregon, USC, Nebraska, North Carolina and Wisconsin have a strong class so they could be in the mix for top 10.

IMO Wisconsin will likely just have an honorable mention recruiting class. We're getting two 2016s besides Molly Haggerty: Mary Dodge, a 5-10 or 5-11 OH/DS who will be vying for the libero spot vacated by Morey, and Sarah Dodd, a DS who plays for Kenosha Tremper HS and Wisconsin Jrs 17-1 team. Dodge is a strong multi-sport athlete (discus) who hits for her East Troy HS team and plays libero for a solid Sting club team, and I'm anticipating she'll be ranked in the 30-60 range and will possibly be Wisconsin's Gatorade POY. Dodd is pretty scrappy, based on what I saw of her club in AAUs, but she doesn't seem to be on Tawa's radar at all. I think both Dodge and Dodd bring a lot to the table for Wisconsin, but given the star-studded-ness of the 2016 class, I don't think Wisconsin will have a ranked recruiting class.

Have to say though, given what is coming next year and in 2017, that I'm really happy with that 2016 group of incoming kids for the badgers, so I'm not bothered that they may not be a ranked class. They will bring a lot to the team in terms of tenacity and athleticism. And then there's Haggerty. The only problem with that class in my mind is the lack of a middle to replace Morgan long term.

I'm with badgerbreath. It'd be lovely to have a ranked class, but I'm not holding my breath for a ranking, given all the other groups that are bringing in big guns in 2016. I want, most of all, for Mary, Molly and Sarah to have happy, successful, and healthy senior years and come to Madison proud of their accomplishments and in shape and ready to go to work.

1. Plummer 2. Lanier 3. Stivrins 4. Fitzmorris 5. Miller 6. Haggerty 7. Agbaji 1. Plummer-She's a really unique force as a 6-6 S/RS. She isn't a Carlini/Poulteresque setter, but she great hands and location. Her best asset might be that she is remarkably quick for her size so she isn't a liability backrow. She is effective as a hitter and puts up a huge block. Have seen her a couple of times and have been impressed. I am interested to see how she pans out as a collegiate player. I don't expect her to continue as a S/RS, and I don't think she's truly elite as a setter or hitter. Not sure how she passes, but I expect she's quite solid. If she focuses on hitting, she could develop into a nasty 6 rotation RS with that much size and quickness. I also worry she could go the route of Broekhuis from a few years back. Unlikely, but Morgan was the #2 recruit in an incredibly deep class. 2. Lanier-Outstanding athlete and attacker. Might not be as polished, but has HUGE upside. Could be top recruit. 3. Fitzmorris-Incredibly polished and an outstanding hitter/blocker. Should be an impact player from day 1, I don't see her ceiling as high as Lanier, but I think she's the best middle in this class. Could also wind up anywhere 1-3. 4. Haggerty-She is the most athletic of the Haggerty sisters and hits a really heavy ball. The most polished outside in this class, I think she'll be an impact player from day 1 but other players may have a higher ceiling. As an aside, I will be shocked if there aren't a few Badger transfers after this season---they have insane depth on the outside projected for 2016. For 3 pin spots they'll have Haggerty, Duello, Bates, Kriskova, Saunders and Gillis. Not sure how that'll all shake out, but I'd put money on Haggerty. 5. Strivins-Another outstanding middle, I think she'll be another impact player from day 1 at Nebraska. Overall this class projects to be very strong. I think this is a much better class than 2015, possibly better than 2014 and probably on par with the 2013.

While I think Stivrins is fantastic and has a really high ceiling since she's so long with great feet, I don't know if she'll play her freshman year if Amber Rolfzen moves to middle this year. Then you'd be looking at both Rolfzen and Holman as the Huskers' top two middles in 2016. Stivrins would have the luxury of redshirting her freshman year. Don't get me wrong, she's absolutely good enough to play immediately, but it might be in her best interest as well as the Huskers' best interest if she doesn't.

I am very sure Plummer will not go the Morgan Broekhuis way because Kathryn is definitely more polished, dominant, and skillful than Broekhuis was. It will be interesting to see who gets to see playing time with this 2016 class. I agree that this class is better than 2015 and to some extent 2014. It would be sad if Gillis doesnt get playing time especially after already transferring. But she's competitive so she will find her role. I don't know if Stivrins makes top 5 there is so much depth at the middle position. Fitzmorris, Agbaji, Pittman, Stone, King, Stivrins, the list goes on. It will be fun to see Haggerty and Carlini play together as well
