These are two teams that are very volatile from set-to-set, historically. I wouldn't be surprised to see a 5 setter where the loser never clears 20.

Does FSU know what passing is?

Set 2 the complete opposite of the first. As long as FSU is running points, they don't have to pass.

Simpson took up so many touches for Colorado last year. While Austin can match her terminability, they don't have anyone who can handle the ball that often without breaking down and making errors.
FSU needs to jump out early in Set 3 and not let Colorado get back in rhythm

FSU has the hitters to run a 6-2. Colorado does not. Running a 6-2 to give both setters playing time is generally a bad idea.

A Colorado win benefits the conference SOS which benefits Oregon's SOS...

Does FSU know what passing is? When you are in a 6-2 you clearly aren't in a system that is built around passing. It also limits your ability to bring in passing defensive specialists due to sub limitations. 6-2 is all about getting more arms on the floor. It has served FSU very well, and also caused limitations.

FSU has some holes this year though (but I think at the end if the day the block will keep them in the Top 20)

True. I think they'd be solid if they just committed to a 5-1. But Kritza is too quick in the trigger to let one setter ride through adversity. Austin is also an any given day type of athlete.
